That weird, I have asked similar questions and they have followed me!

The standard of ESL refs is attrocious & seem to be getting worse. If Childs, Roby & Hicks are the next generation then Superleague is in trouble, as these will not be trusted to officiate an International Test match. The southern hemisphere would probably not let them run the line in case of ridicule.
The Aussies have got it right with the 2 refs system. I know that we havent got the depth of refs to do that, but that could possibly be addressed by the Rugby clubs themselves seeking out ex players to take up the reins.

Thought about that, but what player is going to risk the reputation he built up in his playing career by becoming a ref?

Realistically, the RFL have got a lot on their plate at the minute but it could do with looking at again, no one wants to watch games that are decided because of poor decisions.

At the same time I think we need to take a step back and realise how important refs are to the game - no refs = no game.

Maybe a bit of investment in the training and recruitment packages, with the right incentives could help but other areas of the game also crying out for attention.

The thing is are the refs really that bad or are they just doing what there told to do? In first half we didn't see much of roby so not to bad then he as is visit at halftime and comes out second half and as a big influence on the game.

Typical Jon Sharp, the blokes a legend in his own living room and wouldn't get paid in washers if it were down to me.

To brush off the concerns of a Super League coach and treat his question with such intransigence is downright disrespectful.

According to John Kear the actions of Ganson were without doubt unusual and questionable yet Sharp says "so what"! That says to me that he's not fit to fill the role he's employed to perform.

There`s even Saints fans asking the question and been blocked.

I guess it`s a case of;

If we dont have answers lets just block them

If a coach comes up with a valid point that we have no explanation for we will give them a fine

I was going to comment on the refereeing after sundays game but decided to wait a few days untill i had calmed down.
Look:- the refs have been biased against wakefield for years, yes i know its the old conspiracy chestnut but im covinced after watching 5 decades its true. Obviously they wont own up to it but for you all to go on twitter asking genuing questions and expecting genuing answers you are deluding yourselfs. I nearly gave up watching wakefield years ago because of this as i felt like i was wasting my money, but i just decided to take it on the chin and hope the players do the same just take to the field and play to the best of their abilities knowing they will have to score 12 points extra just to offset the refs bias against them.
i would ask the players who have just joined us this season and maybe the players that have passed through wheather they noticed any bias against us whilst playing for us . Like i say all you can do is go watch the game and ignore the ref cos he will give us nothing although i would say i thought Thailor did a desent job.
By the way chanting the referese a b------ does not help.
To finish i would like to say the last decent ref was Fred Lindop.

No question its a definate yes!! why is ganson allowed to officiate a game involving Saints when everyone knows he is a saints fan ?, the mind boggles.
