| I can't go this time
Is it possible to cheer by proxy?
I would like to cheer when they come out, clapping just long enough for my hands to hurt a bit.
I'd like to do a welcome cheer when the new boys up warm near to the Wakefield supporters
Big cheer at either kickoff or receipt of kick off as appropriate
A sportingly polite cheer if anyone ghosts passed Smith, and a slightly less sporting cheer if anyone sits Chase on his and louder if a pass is intercepted
Any big hits from the forwards should receive a loud aggressive cheer
Any individual piece of skill that doesn't result in a try should be loudly clapped with a "well done <insert name>" and if try is scored the same but louder and clapping should continue back to kick off position.
Standing up is allowed when doing any of the above but sit down quickly to avoid getting in anyones way. I'm always polite like that.
Long round of applause for whole Trinity team for winning lap of honour. I haven't considered the alternative result.
I'm happy if these duties are divided up among the 500+. Take individual responsibility as you see fit.
Thank you for adding my applause to your own. I will be back for next game and can take over from there.

Is it the usual Jam tribute band?

But We'll get a right hoofing.
We can't expect too much when our three overseas players only arrived this week, it's gonna be a long, long season.'"
Why do you think we'll get a hoofing?
I see little to fear at Salford - Salford may well win but I don't see humiliation or even a loss as a certainty.

Godinet won't have had time to gel, if not that means Wildie playing, and he's not up to it, can't see us gelling till three games into the season.
Salford overall won't be in the top 8 at the seasons end, but I just think the Salford euphoria will put them on the front foot, Salford by 30 for me.

WOW, by 30 ?
The bookies have them by 12 or 14 and with the likely conditions, I think it will be closer.

We'll see, Ive seen players step off the plane in the past and have a blinder - I'm not convinced by the "gelling" argument or at least not in our case tbh.

Sykes will play of Godinet, yes Godinet will be rusty but one of the main reasons why Godinet came to this club was to play in the halves. As long as he is talking (like all good halfbacks do) I cant see him struggling.
I am looking forward to the game to see our new lads in action and what styles they are.
My 17 would be:
Mathers
Fox
Collis
Keinhorst
Lyne
Sykes
Godinet
Smith
McShane
Moore
Kirmond
Tautai
Washbrook
Wildie
Anderson (Sure he said he was pairing with Smith in training so could start)
Lauitiiti
Ryan
Lets not forget that Tautai turned up a few days before Magic Weekend and put in a solid performance. Dont get me wrong I wont be expecting them to go out guns blazing.
Also looking forward to see how Salford go especially their half-back pairing.

| Don't think we should worry too much about Godinet, I think he will do OK. Our forwards should also be fine. Its 1 to 5 that worries me and that's where I think they will find plenty of holes in our defence.

Communication will be key on Sunday going to need a lot of shuffling but if the conditions are as it has been for the past few days I can't see the ball getting thrown out wide all the time it'll be a forwards battle for the majority of it. I hope that Godinet can calm down our 'panic rugby' performances and instead of trying to score every set trying to complete every set if unable to score. With McShane adding kicking from dummy half I think we'll go fine.

Pressure is on Salford not us, which IMHO can only help us.

| I don't think any NRL players at half back would struggle to gel so much, don't forget that playing super league is a step down for them in reality.
The worry for Godinet is that he may end up being a sole half back (like Chase was for us) and that's a role he would struggle just getting into after 3/4 days training.
The onus will be on Sykes, and I think Chase and Smith will be completely dominant in the halves.
Just a case of getting the forwards outting you in the right places I guess

| Wasn't sure I'd make it, but fortunately I'll be there with another three supporting the lads. Will be paying on the day and having a few drinks early on in Manchester
