| 1600 ticket sales to a population of around 325,000. It's not even half a percent! Is there really that much going on in Wakefield that 99.51% aren't interested in its only professional sports team?
Judging by the way things are going with ticket sales and player losses, it's time to get rid of the counter and contact Bob Geldof for a 'give us your money' appeal video to put in its place.

| Get shut of the counter and that stupid "together we are stronger" line. That peed me off even when things looked rosy!
Also! All those that have "had enough"; If you have, then go away and stop this slow bleeding to death all over this messageboard. When I've "had enough" I'll log off and find something else to do!

...it's a city of blame......blame the council......blame their employers......blame Thatcher......blame Glover......blame Ted......blame Elston......plenty of blame, complaining & negativity......however not quite willing to go out & do something about it......and I'm not just talking abut Trin.
However......plenty of money for booze & fags........oh.......and the odd Greggs.
Next up for the blame...........MC?
Never known a city with such a chip on it's shoulder.

you're right in what you say Mary, though I aren't sure it applies. After all, the supporters of WTW are the ones who have repeatedly been taken for a ride.
your love for your club, it would seem, isn't reciprocated - and that must be heartbreaking.
So I would fully support and understand that fans are trying to lay the blame, and need to be able to lay the blame for people to keep faithfully handing over their hard-earned. After all, the smoke screen the club has billowed for years still hasn't blown over - I've no idea who is culpable and I doubt anyone else has.
This latest set-back stunned/shocked/appalled me really. You guys have twice the number of paying supporters you had 5-10 years ago, and it would appear this increased revenue for the club has been frittered away as frivellously as ever.
The club seemed to have everything in place this year to really push on, after getting into the play-offs in 2012. But alas two steps forward have resulted in three back.
bloody thatcher eh.

why should the fact that other people spend money on a night out make your blood boil? perhaps you need to calm down?

| I think it's the principle mate, how people can frivellously spend £260 on the pop, but are incredibly tight with it about their rugby club....
I get it, although "blood boiling" is maybe a bit OTT

| I know what you're saying Dave....I was agreeing with upthecats.
The apathy around the city of Wakefield is unreal. All the genuine fans come on this forum with a huge passion for the club & want it to suceed.
Time & time again we get hurt & frustrated with another false dawn.
I just don't want it to go the same way as other sporting clubs have in the city - remember it's football team & rugby union team?
I know MC and he's working his nads off trying to do what's best for the club.
Just hacks me off no end when keyboard warriors/doom & gloom merchants think they know best!

| Just wanted to say that whoever is with us player wise next season I will go and shout my lungs off for, I will shout when they are rubbish because they will be my rubbish and will still support them, I have supported this club since the mid 60's and have seen some terrible times, all of which we have come thru and some which have been worse that we have now. If we end up in the Championship League I will support them because they are my TEAM. And as a PS I have a really good feeling about next season and can see us playing some good rugby because when our backs are to the wall we go out there and show others what we can do. Come on supporters back the club, back the players and stop blaming anyone.
Rant over

I blame "together we are stronger" and whoever came up with it!
Still, those £15 coats keep you warm from the club shop. Very funny to see the tweet from Andrew Voss wanting to get he 3 shirts for a tenner but the shop was shut!

Well done! Cheap publicity that someone at the club should have thought of rather than replying about opening times.
