If its true O Meley has signed so that gives us RALLAIGH, WILKES, O MELEY, JAMES And pray Amour stays thats fine for props. We don't need to make any signings if we don't sign mathers we have to get a quality fullback !

I'd be surprised if Southern is still here next season and if its true about Mariano leaving then another back rower is a must. A block bustring prop would be desirable as well. A lot depends on who Agar sheds from the squad. With the re-organisation of the academy set-up a few of our younger players may be heading out of the door as we won't have the room for them. Agar has already said he thinks the squad is too big this year and I fear players like Morton, Spiers & Wilde may find themselves on the outer. Getting the balance right to leave us with enough depth is going to be difficult.

Knowing us we will get rid of Frankie and sign Weller Hauraki I think hes useless nad would be a good signing for cas.

I think Weller Hauraki would fit right in at Cas - I'd like to wish them luck in their attempts to sign him.

Difficult to talk about new signings for us right now, with uncertainty about Sykes, Mathers, Amor, Mariano and possibly Johnson and Southern.

Putting all of that aside, I'd like the O'Meley rumour to be true - regardless of who we retain (or not) he'd be a useful weapon for 20 minutes per half; when fully fit, he can wreak havoc.

We've done that with Smith. Mathers is a tryer but to unreliable - he's lost us a few to many games for me. I'd live with him stopping but wouldn't be sad to see him go - unless he maintains his form for a few more games.

For me we probably need one more prop or a tackling machine S/R.

I also think we need another player with a kicking game, if Smith is out we are in trouble and Smith is not the greatest I've seen.

It's vital that whoever comes in fits in - that's the key for me.

Agreed - I believe that Smith played his best football at fb with Leeds, so if we can't or don't agree terms with Mathers, he's ready to slot in. Alternatively, we have Cockayne who could drop in there, with Mellars taking over the wing spot, which is where he played for Crusaders and looked pretty good.

Smith will be fine at centre when he gets fully fit. He will be a good signing for us if hes in shape next season he will be a sound signing.

Smith is not a centre and won't stay there, he's cover for now - he is a F/B IMHO.

For a man whos 'not a centre' he seems to have spent alot of time playing in that position.
