One of my favourite Bagnall performances was against Widnes in a midweek game. It rained all the way over and when we finally got to Naughton Park the floodlights went out! When we finally got in we'd no cover and it rained the entire game. Although we lost the game, Bagnall was awesome that night, as was John Devereux for Widnes, and is one of my favourite memories as a Wakefield fan, despite the result. Although I was shattered at school the day after!

Was in the 1988/89 season. Making debut against Hull in the 16-10 win that put us top of the league. Recommended by Mark Graham. Played half a season before going home just before Christmas.
Should have been a great signing but didn't work out that well. During the preseason we had signed both Ian Roberts and Mark Elia who both have backword and never played for us.
Mark Graham was a class act though even during just a few games. In a couple of seasons we had Mark Graham, Ray Price and Steve Norton in our back row. Those in the height of their careers would rival any back row in the world.

Couple more South Africans for you who probably would not get in because of Lewis and Solomona, Colin Greenwood and Ivor Dorrington

NZ international barnstorming prop...'"
Once had a 15 minute chat with TR about overseas players and he couldnt speak highly enough about Mark Graham but was a little less complimentary about Brent Todd .Barnstormed his way up Westgate a few times though .

| Somebody once argued with me they were saying that Denis Beecraft was the finest cover tackling second row forward we ever had at Belle Vue. Funny how such a "fine" import doesn't get a mention.
I think Troy Slattery is worthy of a mention.

| Pound for pound the best signing IMHO was Garen Casey. Not the most talented but the most important, without his contribution I personally don't think we would have won our way into SL.
Bet Andy Kelly kisses a photo of him every night before he goes to bed.
