Hmm. It is. And I'm not even sure where I got the wrong name from.
I've changed it to give Richard the credit.

Someone does, they have in the recent past put drone videos over BV on the forum and trinity twitter page. I just wish the club would put photos/videos just once a week, to update everyone, a lot can change in a week.

Don't reckon there is much to see yet to be honest. I think it will get interesting when the steelwork goes up. Then you will get some idea of the scale. I reckon it will shock people just how large this new stand is.
It is in truth a 3000 seater stand but because they have fitted in the players/coaches/directors/media/disabled/corporate the capacity is lessened, but in a good way.
Although I accept that the ground will be far from perfect, most noticeably the West terrace - on a bright summers evening you will walk in off Donny road and see before you a facade that we can finally be proud of. We will at last look like a club with one foot in the 21st century and a right to be in SL.
As Buzz Lightyear said One small stand for mankind, one huge stand for Wakefield Trinity.

I worked at Pinderfields when they redeveloped it, and found the whole process from demolition through clearance and groundworks right up to snagging and opening absolutely fascinating. To be honest, if I could I'd call in for half an hour every day just to sit with a coffee and watch...especially when there's plant working on site!

| Sometimes the contractors will arrange drone footage/time lapse cameras as part of the promotion of their work. I'm keeping an eye on Morgan Sindal's LinkdIn page for that reason. A quick snap from the flats and a post on twitter or Instagram should be easy enough for the club to do in the meantime though.

| Was told something rather amusing about the new pitch today!
Now it's been scraped, channelled, gravelled, and new soil on...it's 2 feet higher than the old pitch.
Makes sorting the West terrace viewing sight-lines even more important.

Must have built a 2 foot high wall all way around the pitch then, otherwise the pitch will just collapse around the edges.

Think it might settle a little but thought that might happen. Because I couldn't work out how the new East stand wasn't going to be considerably higher than the pitch if you look at the drop from the carpark to the pitch. Now it should be about right. Eve affect the North stand slightly.
These are the perils of doing up old grounds, there will be compromises, but the west terrace is a big one.

If the pitch is 2 foot higher than before, then some sort of retaining wall will be needed. For example, the north end and south end have steel/wooden fence, (nothing to retain two foot extra height) East and west side pitch level are almost level with the current wall. Without a retaining wall on all four side there is nothing to hold the new pitch groundwork.

I'm yet to be convinced it is 2 foot higher to be honest, higher yes but not by that much.
If you take a look at a lot of football pitched they nearly all slope down at the sides, it's very common.
This is Old Trafford, surprised me first time I saw it a few years back.

| Saves money on export of material if the pitch is higher than the original. Will have to check the topographical survey existing levels again the proposed levels of the East Stand to see if its deliberate.
