Would not do any business with Shudd's they are like vultures, they tried to lure Smurf before when Fergy went when we were in Admin, they prey on other's misery, Now we are in a new era, long gone are the day's when we need to sell players for financial gain, we are moving the club forward and that means keeping hold of your best players, Smurf will never be a world beater but he is hell of a squad player and why would we want Kirmond or Wood ? we have better youngsters lying in wait and with Kirmond its a case of "been there done that", lets carry on building a squad to compete at the top level and tell Davy and Hudd's to P#ss off and go and circle over somewhere else....

In what way does that matter, is he not allowed to make his own choices. To claim he snubbed us and thus make it appear personal is incredibly childish. If I had a choice to join/stay at my much better funded hometown club or join us I'd require a lobotomy to accept the latter wouldn't you.

I don't disagree with you at all. You know my opinion on the new regime, I can't see the difference and this is a perfect example. However I suppose we have to accept that Agar at least has no debt to Murphy - he would argue that he has a team to build and that this deal suits his plans. He would also argue that Murphy is hardly being chucked on the scrap heap and that the club has given him the chance to cement his reputation. So in this respect I find Agar at least innocent and understand his reasoning and actually think in pure playing terms he may have it right.

However it sends out all the wrong messages and makes us look like a feeder club for the rich - just like w did under Ted. So when the next Ellis or Wright pop up and won't stay for all the money in the world and Elston and AG come bleating to us for more cash blah blah they will receive a two fingered gesture.

I would only be interested in Raleigh in any event. Kirmond and Wood are no better than we have and Mason couldn't give a damn about Wakefield when he left years ago. In any case he hasn't got much rugby brain and is a penalty liability!
