He wasn`t outstanding, none of our players were tbh, he had a solid performance and when you say again do you mean you thought he was outstanding last week?

It has been true PT, there was a time where no matter how well Max played given the chance Grix would be straight back in, that was okay with me as I thought he was the better option at FB at the time. Everyone could see Max was ready to be number 1 in the season we signed Walker but for some reason he brought Walker in and gave him the number 1 shirt. Same happened with Hampshire who given a string of games at 7, looked very good only to be dropped when Brough came back into the fold.

No it’s never been true.

Up until last season Jowetts form was always patchy and like it or not Grix was better, the results tend to back it up.

I can’t believe anyone believes CC has grudges against certain players. He may prefer certain players but that’s not the same thing at all.

Unless you seriously think Chester is stupid then what possible benefit can it be to his career to ‘pick on players’ seriously!

I`ll stand by my comment, It has been true, Jowitt in breakthrough season was brilliant hence why he won Young player of the year, only to be dropped once Grix was available - As I say personally I didn't have an issue with it as at the time I thought Grix was still a better but that doesn`t take away from the fact he dropped Jowitt who was playing out of his skin.

Also, I don`t subscribe to the grudge thing, but Coaches quite obviously have an idea on who they favour in a position, which is natural, I think sometimes you see that taken too far with some players and coaches and it takes a lot for them to get dropped.

Yes but playing out of your skin and playing well are not the same thing.

There are a number of CC things I don’t agree with but Jowett isn’t one. For me Max came of age last year against Leeds at Leeds, up until then he was very hit and miss imho.
