| You'll never get a player to replace Fifita. He was unique. We'll need a different style of pack leader.

Unsure why he’s not got a contract. He was getting big raps in 2022 but in 2023 not sure what’s happened.
As for Pauli Pauli. His issue has always been fitness. We need a pack leader to replace Fifita. Far as I can tell we don’t have one.
As for props available there’s two could be worth a look
Only player I'd touch there is Ben Nakubawai but very much in the frame last year, would be surprised to see him drop to the Championship. Unless of course he's OOC.
Lovodua played 9 and 13 back in Aus but featured heavily for FC at stand off, not sure if that was due to injuries in the squad but clearly didn't impress them enough to earn another deal.

Agreed - he was the nearest thing we have had to a marquee player for a long time, and we had him for years and years. He was the difference for some people buying season tickets I would hazard a guess.
Even with cash reserves, almost impossible to replace.

Pauli is a classic example of how things can go badly wrong, very quickly when you don't take things seriously. If he spent half the time and effort he did throwing his weight around up and down Wesgate into his rugby then he would probably be playing in the NRL.. He quickly went from rising NRL star at Parra to having to hop around championship clubs, shame.
I wonder how much game time Nsemba will get at Wigan of if they will be tempted to send us him over for next year, he looks a seriously good young player.

Is it the inability to keep to his position in the game?! It sounds harsh, but he genuinely put in one of the worst top level performances espeically in wing positioning in a Sky match against Wigan in late May and hasnt been seen since, this was after a relatively promising 6 or 7 game streak but that was at centre..saying that, there's definitely a "player" espeically with his physical attributes there , but he is a raw talent who would probably benefit massively from a loan move - likely to be at your rivals, Fev

What? He didn't know how to play a position he doesn't play. That's terrible. Send him back!

Would have him back ,When he signed from Leigh ,was one of the best young centres I have seen at Wakefield. Will get shot down, but better than any young centre we have at present . Hope D P can improve them

Probably because he isn’t a winger.

Evidently. But to be that positionally inept was incredible, it was like he had never played the game at any level before. Surely a centre should know where to stand as a fill in winger first and foremost..I think he'll benefit massively with a strong run of games in the Championship at centre.

He was out playing many super league centres while with us.
If WP can't make something out of him I'd be really disappointed.
I did see the game you are talking about though. Wasn't good.

You'll only get shot down because you wrongly refer to Leigh instead of Leeds but other than that I reckon most will agree with you.

I think he will, given time, it's clear he needs a full season run of games to iron out some deficiencies.. it was only less than 2.5 years ago Mikey Lewis went on loan to York, who played him at fb cos his tackling wasn't up to scratch according to Tony Smith and now look at him...it can be done.
Anyway, I'm impressed with what I read about Trinity lately, the IMG era should be all what is happening with this M Ellis and investments. I remember posting around last year on here when you lot were trying to do a fundraiser, admirable as it was it probably seems futile to what youve now got? It reminded me of what HKR attempted in 2019 and then I came back in after you got well beaten by us and said stick with it. It must be feel like night and day in under a year? We've not won anything yet but Wakey could maybe follow HKR in returning to the top of the tree soon, it's got early similarities actually.

Hall played 26 games during 2022 and cemented his place in the 1st team pretty well. It's sad to see him lost to the game so soon after.

Honestly if it’s an option and he is fit I would have him back on a season long loan. Would finish off the backs nicely other than cover at fullback.
