| Quote Wildthing="Wildthing"When it got to Golden Point I feared for the inevitable, our success rate with Golden Point isn't great ... but what a
win, the fighting spirit is wonderful to see (finally). Momentum is with us, let's keep that going next week.
We aren't safe by a long shot, but we are giving it a bloody good go!'"
I believe enquiries were made about Thornley by Wakefield a few months ago.
He certainly did us a few favours last night even though he wasn’t wearing our colours.
The drop to set up the position for the winning field goal was the icing on the cake though.

| Where on earth to start with this one.
We'd been drifting with the bookies handicap all week and clearly, thet, like many of the fans (me included) had written us off.
What a performance, wow. Pinged by the man in pink for every minor indiscretion early on and it looked like it may be a long night but, step forward the Trinity pack, who bossed the middle all night.
Dagger was superb, absolutely superb and is rapidly becoming our player of the season (humble pie moment)..
Fifita was a colossus and whatever he has done with Atoni (and others) needs bottling and selling or a fortune !
Every player, to a man, stood up and was counted and to come back from 20 -12 against a full strength title chasing Wigan side, with a patched up, injury ravaged side, to tie the game with an 80th minute penalty and then take the game in golden point, THIS is why we suffer the many, many downs.
One of THE most memorable performances in our 150 years.
Well done boys and to the coaching staff too. Lets back it up next week at Shudds
There is now light at the end of what has been a very long and dark tunnel.

Not seen it in first 15 games .'"

| I think I actually enjoyed this more than when we hammered them a few seasons ago.
Every inch and every point was hard earned

Ah so you are saying the thing that changed things was just money? Because Ellis has no involvement in running the club or coaching.
Like it or not, we played a good tactical game to beat Wigan. And great as he is Fifita is not a tactical genius.

| You have to feel for these individuals who've dug a hole so deep that they can't climb out or even put the head up and cleanly enjoy a result like last night.
Still a couple more to make an appearance. Anyone been round and knocked on Willzay's door yet?

| You cannot deny the positive impact of bringing back Fifita and signing Gale both of which I am sure resulted from the sponsorship of the new board member. It could be argued that yes money did help because I doubt either of these would have happened especially when the club admitted they wanted to sign Gale at the start of the season but didn’t have the resources necessary to do so.

| Quote No pain no gain="No pain no gain"Using Leigh as a fine example of how it can be done is short sighted to say the least. All their spending goes into their first team. They have a reserve team that hasn't fulfilled a fixture this season, no academy, no ladies team and no pdrl team. Salford are another side were all the funding is spent solely on the first team. If every team in the competition operated like this rugby league will cease to exist in the iong term.'"
Salford have a Ladies team playing in SL2
Salford have a reserve team (admittedly not a great one)
Salford have a PDRL team
Salford applied for an Elite Academy license and were refused by Super League (so not our fault)
Nowt like a factual post though.
You're welcome.
PS. Well done last night, great result
