| Quote: PopTart "Could easily have been 14-24 to us at 70 mins.
Molloy and Kavanagh played really well when they don't normally get praise.
Godinet was good. Don't understand those having a go at Miller I thought he was very good. Certainly one of the better players.
Arundel weak in centre but tried hard.
Smith tackled more than usual too.
Very good all round effort. Smith and players making great strides forward. I look forward to the win that is coming.'"
Dissagree bout miller thought he was poor again never looked like creating in attack and his defence was shocking the attempt on pelessier of the game changing try was embarrasing.

| That Pellisier try was as a result of a large hole in the defensive line near the ruck from a quick play the ball which the forwards should have covered but due to fatigue didn't. Still think fitness may be an issue due to fading badly in last 10 minutes and the score unrepresentative of the game played but no lack of effort/desire. It'll take several weeks no doubt to get to the level of fitness BS demands.
Miller's runs on occasion from fullback were quite impressive. Agree though defensively he goes too high too often (twice in the game yesterday involving two tries) and is not the biggest player so should be taking them around the legs. If they offload and score then so be it but he has at least then tackled the opponent and could not then be criticised.

It was a basic 'Cut play' in behind the ruck, the marker did his job and blocked the acting half back then slid out toward the runner to tie in with the 'A' defender. Unfortunately, the 'A' defender hadn't moved up at all and the hole was huge. The 'A' was McShane, probably gassed from a big effort throughout the match and we know he's not an 80minute hooker which is why we've signed Howarth and Sio.
All in all though we've progressed and look much better which is probably a bit sickening if you're a Leigh fan!

| I think a lot of teams would have faded in the last few minutes. It was hot watching in the shade so it must have been nearly unbearable on the pitch

| The thing is Miller looks worse because he goes in for the tackle and sometimes gets bounced.
Mathers, Sammut, Hall and sometimes Owen would have dodged the tackle.
Result is the same but I prefer Miller's attitude

| That's bang on Hall would be lagging across the field with no intention of making the tackle. At least you get some kind of effort from Miller

Now I think the lad is probably taking a bit of unfair stick, and I can see why he has been put at full back given the balance of the squad, but that is a pee poor rose tinted view on his ability in that position imo. He's never been a full back he's poor under the high ball and can't tackle. Those 2 attributes are all a Wakey full back needs

He's been pretty good under the high ball IMHO.

We'll have to disagree. He lets the ball bounce for a start. He's pathetic one on one but to be fair he is a half back I accept that albeit it doesn't change the fact.

| TBH I think Miller has played his best games for us at FB, even though he aint no full back. Defence is weak due to his size but I don't think you can knock his enthusiasm and made some good breaks away from our line, takes a bit of a battering at times.

| Only just watched the last half an hour, due to having to work yesterday. Overall I thought it was a really good performance and a massive contrast to anything else we have seen for ages. The attitude of the players was totally different and actually looked like they wanted to be out there competing.
Play like that every week and we will fly through the middle 8 without too many problems, and pick up a few wins beforehand.
Perhaps the tide is turning ?

| Just finished watching the game and it was 'tired decision making' at crucial times late on.
McShanes nothing grubber and Millers pass to Lynn, who then got pushed into touch, leading to a Catalans try.
Miller looked lively at FB and as someone previously said, supplied some decent attacking passes.
Couldn't do anything about the Pelissier try.
Annakin ran hard and straight.
Just got caught out wide late on, when Johnstone got sucked in to allow big winger to skin him and Owen going 'walkabout' for Andersons try.
I'm sure BS will let them know what he can praise and what he can criticise.
11 days to get more cohesive for when Hull arrive on the 1st July.

| Just got back from Perpignan (well 4.30 this morning) and just want to say that
Wakefield were fantastic on Saturday and the final score certainly flattered Les Catalan.
It was 32 degrees over there at kick of and still 28 degrees walking back after the game.
The game turned on McShanes failed grubber and the 2 disallowed tries.
Apart from the last 10 minutes (which seemed more like 15) We took the game to the opposition and dominated
30 minutes of the second half.
Ok, we did need to put some more points on the board (and may well have done so but for Mr Allibert) but the improvement
is there for all to see and I'm actually looking forward to our next game for the first time this season.
Come on Trin !

| Miller's a funny onion - he seems to present genuine threat with the ball in hand and is a hard, elusive runner; he also takes a decent beating and bounces back up.
His defence is bloody awful though - shockingly awful; which begs the question, why play him at full back?!

| Because we currently have no one else available, I guess Owen was not 100% fit or he would have played full back unless it was the only way to keep Miller in the team.
