You could gold plate BV - its still in Agbrigg.'"
The New York Yankees play in the Bronx and that doesn't stop them getting 49,000 there! And believe me it wouldn't be the dogs fouling the alleyways on a walk up to the ballgame!!

We don't need any convincing PT we always travel in numbers you know that. Looking forward to visiting BV a few more times I couldn't care less about the surroundings for 90% of the time I'm in a stadium my concentration is on the pitch. If I can get a pie a pint and a toilet at half time I'm happy.

| Ground = Belle Vue = History
Well since 1979 my time watching not always the best
Ground = Newmarket = New dawn / New start
Who knows but can't be worse than this season
No matter what ground I'm a Wakefield supporter (Trinity or Wildcat or both)
It's the team on the pitch that wears the Red White and Blue that I support
1-17 if they put in the effort then they are the ones that count
Come on win the next two games stay in super league and move onwards and hopefully upwards

If we retain SL status ( big if ) SL will require us to make upgrades to BV so rent savings will help. I would have much preferred us to go to Dewsbury which is a far nicer ground and one which we do not need to spend money on. Agbrigg is a total dump, the local population have zero interest in the club, away fans have to park up in surrounding area which is dumpsville Arizona, home and away fans walking to ground have to walk through Agbrigg and dog fouled alleyways. I'm surprised you can see the dog muck the way you walk about with your nose stuck up in the air, you must have a big house if it covers the affluent Outwood/Stanley area, are all the doggies up there are potty trained as well

| Any savings on the rent for next year will be spent on sorting out the aftermath of Smith, Locke & Lyne's recent exploits.

| NM is the absolute dead set winner for me. I am struggling to see the negatives?
As much as Belle Vue has provided me with many good and bad memories over the last 30 odd years, lets be realistic. The place is a wreck. Parking is rubbish, access is terrible and based on pure guess work, i would imagine it would cost a small fortune to bring anywhere near to fit for purpose in the modern day.
Thats before consideration of the cost to actually buy it back from the BOI.

How do you work that out? There'll be no cost to the club as far as I can see - Lyne has been dealt with and the other two are OOC at the end of the season.

Cost of club car & damage to other cars the morons hit as insurance will be null & void as driver refused a breath test & blood sample.
Plus probable loss of a club sponsor who provided car.

That's a stretch!
Company cars will be leased, so they'll be covered by insurance - and I don't see how a club sponsor will be lost? If a sponsor provides a car, s/he most likely does so by meeting the cost of the lease and having their name plastered on the side in return - I'm pretty sure they don't buy an actual car.
In short, I really don't see that the savings in rent for BV will be dented in any meaningful way by this unfortunate incident.

Awful to non-existent public transport links, especially on a Sunday! There'd need to be a lot of work done with Arriva and friends to sort that out. One thing going for Belle Vue is the number of buses that go by, and two train stations close.

Leased or not insurance is invalidated when it involves drink driving or refusing to give breath/blood sample.
Check who provided car as they are a club sponsor & will probably pull out of sponsorship stuffing other players who use their cars & putting a dent is club's finances.
Plus cost of 3 cars that were damaged in the mayhem.

I cannot foresee how the club will be forced to pick up the bill for this.
The cars may have been loaned by a Sponsor but the insurance that you say will be null and void will surely be individual person’s policy and not the clubs. The vehicle is hardly a works vehicle as they are not driving during the course of their employment.
Anyhow the club will hardly be vicariously liable for the twits as they have gone off on a frolic of their own. I.e. drink driving is not something that’s encouraged by the club.
I would imagine it’s the individuals involved and responsible who will be looking at a hefty bill and not the club.
