Think its poor asking supporters to pay up now to gurantee getting a shirt, especially with the trouble we have before with delivery dates, bit of a blackmail tactic.

It's hyping it up, I doubt we'll sell out anytime soon - unless they do it as limited as those 1963 replicas, which would be foolish given the standard price.

No it's not, it's a perfectly legitimate bit of marketing; they're trying to create what marketeers call 'scarcity value' and I, for one, am happy to play along - I'll be ordering one for me and one each for both offspring tomorrow.

By the way - you do know it's not compulsory don't you?

It isn't I'm afraid. There is a decent load of shirts coming, but by the time you split them into 2 different shirts, then by the various different sizes, the result in only say 50 of each shirt in each size - in the delivery before Xmas - that's the way the manufacturers work, not the club's choice.

If you want to be certain of the shirt you want in the size you want - don't leave it too late - that includes you - NGB4C! icon_wink.gif

Bearing in mind how much the shirt sizes have varied over the past few years and the laughable neckline on the most previous one, I can't see how anyone can commit to a shirt without trying it on first!
I love the idea of this shirt and will more than likely get one myself BUT only after trying on a few different sizes in the shop first.

You will always have the option to change it later - if the size turns out not to be what you need.

If people wait for the delivery, then be prepared to make a b-line for the shop when it does arrive! icon_motor.gif

That kit will be a fitting tribute to the longevity of our history and would be a great memento if the 2011 squad got dressed up in replicas of the original kit for a mock-up "black and white & knelt on one knee" photo.

Dear Santa........ (i know you read this forum & I have been a good boy & the club does need the money!)

Theres nothing like a bit of nostalgia for the older element! but as for our junior supporters i cant see santa needing very big sack for the new (old style) shirt.

Yes. The material will be wool, and it'll have that original Victorian bobble button on the front too. The neck will probably be silk, though.

Have no fears - it will of course be a new twist on an old design. I think it will go down really well.

Now for all the nostalgists - wait for the away shirt..... icon_cool.gif

Just been down to order mine, asked about sizes and they are 'normal', as in a medium is a 42" chest and large 44". Got a smart grey T-Shirt with the old Trinity badge on too. Saved £10 with the discounts available to season ticket holders.
