Yeah, I've not seen too many diamonds from Golding this season, a few rocks....but nobody's perfect, he's mostly been just okay.
Undoubted talent, he keeps getting the shirt at Leeds but fails to have much of an impact, it may be that is the MO at Leeds, I dunno.
Could I see him at Wakey, umm, not really, there doesn't appear to be an opening, a wing berth or anything, short of extra extra cover.
But, ya never know.

Can't see the benefit of bringing Golding in.

If you watch his early season performances he regularly made try saving tackles that he had no right to make. He’s younger than Grix and quicker too. Not to say I’m unhappy with Grix it was just in response to a previous post asking who else you’d have at FB. And also note I said I’d be tempted not that I would.

I’m not sure how you can argue he’s nowhere near Jowitt though, at youth level Jowitt was always preferred I grant you, but over the last season how many times has Jowitt played and played well? Where as Goulding has been starting full back for the grand final winners on a regular basis.

FFS! How many starts was Jowitt given last season? Two? One of those was a stand out performance away at Salford, the other away at Cas when they were fired up and at full strength to confirm the LLS.

I don't think we need to get wound up by the Golding comment. We have two full backs more than capable of being our star player. We don't need another whether he is better or not.....though he isn't better than either imho.

No need for Ash Golding, Grix has 2 more years, Jowitt will increasingly get more game time as age starts to tell on Scott.

Luke Hooly could well surpass both of them as he develops over the next 24 months.
