On a more positive note , now tupou and moores departure have been confirmed we actually have a confirmed squad and i can't remember last time we went into preseason with all of the squad signed and in place. Sad for tupou who when fit was a class act, but never really showed it at wakefield. Without moore and toops we probably have a fraction less nous in the pack than last year, but make up for it in size and power ....... bring on leeds !!!

Don't agree as regards Tupou - potentially yes but he played so little and was hardly ever fit that is impact was fairly minimal. Don't think you can lose something you never had.

It was a gamble for Trinity and the player himself which, sadly didn't work out too well for either party.
Massive shame as we would all liked to see the guy show his ability in a Trinity shirt.

I'm wondering was we going to even keep Moore anyway with bringing in Kyle Wood, he is a talent no doubt but the baggage was always going to be too much.

I imagine we would have. Moore as starting hooker with Kyle Wood off the bench would have seen as really strong at hooker, similar to a few years ago with Aiton starting and Wood off the bench.

We're still looking for a second rower apparently.

I haven't seen anything official, apart from the fact he didn't get a shirt number.....which is a not too subtle indicator

The papers have picked up on this and said they think he's looking for a championship club but I think that is just paper talk for now.

These concern Gibson, Fifita, Brown and Crowther.
