Like any rugby league online news site, their information is either made up or stolen from here or the Total Rugby League forum. They are also pretty shoddy literary wise, not to mention riddled with constant ads.

This could be dependant upon their respective current clubs status in super league.

One of Kelly or Brierley along with a good organising half back could work.

To the credit of CC and MC they are looking at the half bacl situation closely and we could be bringing more than one in which would probably signal the end for one of our existing halves

Apart from our scrum half. Does anyone else in the squad kick goals? Goal kicking is vital and has won us several games this year

Just looking on Wiki stats, yes Brierley has kicked a few for Leigh, but wouldn't say he was a regular kicker.

I do recall when I did the Catalan trip with Hull KR (wife), do to Mantelato being injured, Kelly did the goal kicking, and if I recall correctly banged one over from the touchline.

Another reason why I think we would be better with either Dobson and or O'Brien. They are proven kickers

Odd to say the least and probably made up as most of that site is.

We have Finn for another year.

Miller not sure about but lets assume he is.

That means we will have five out and out half backs!

I know we were short this year and it's cost us dear but five!

Of those only Kelly would improve the team IMHO. Ignoring his alleged indiscipline he's head and shoulders above Miller and Finn but could easily make both of those look much better especially Finn. On his day one of the best in SL and at only 25 with the right incentives and coaching there are a lot of those still to come.

i'd be very happy with Finn, Kelly and Miller with Wood or Grix offering emergency cover.

That would not surprise me at all. John Kear had a well used phrase, 'YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MANY PIVOTS'

He's right but that's still one hell of a leap if you include Moore that's 6. still if we can put together a pack for them to work behind I'm happy

I don't think he is right, we had far too many small utility men in the squad and we paid for it by conceding lots of points.

You have a point however I do think JK had a better one and got it right.

Also Pivot players are not the same as Utility players. I agree we have way to many "utility forwards" and to many "utility backs". We could easily drop one back and one forward for a couple of creative players or "pivots" which is what we are talking about.

I know where your coming from however I think you know what the problem here. Unlike the NRL the SL is chronically short of big strong powerful players with good engines and a decent brain. Those that there are are instantly snapped up by top clubs and they certainly don't join bottom feeder clubs like us. Occasionally we strike lucky but never in the quantity required to win anything.

I think the idea of loads of pivots is sound if you can't boss the pack. These little nuggets like Sam Obst etc make countless cheap yards with their cover little scoots, side steps and sudden burst of pace and crucially relieve the forwards giving them a chance to catch breath.

Doesn't always work but it's an option, an option we have not had recently. This season in particular we have had absolutely no options for alternative game planes, especially with Finn having no off the cuff game.

Yes we need a bigger more aggressive pack but we also need options because no matter how much we improve next season we won't be as strong as the likes of Hull but we may have the options to beat the teams around us.

Truth is your right for the top six team, but with us likely being bottom six material if we are to break out we will have to think and play differently and ignore perceived wisdom.

Could be worth a shout. According to Wiki, played 48 times so far in NRL so probably no mug.

At 21, would he be coming over here too young, just like Isaac John did. One thing is for sure though, at 21 probably wouldnt be on a massive contract at the moment

Tuimoala Loanhea looks far too good for us if his highlights reel is anything to go by. Looks a fantastic Prospect and would expect lots of big money offers from NRL teams if he decided to leave the Warriors. Don't think any superleague could compete.

TL would be a huge coup for any Super League club and can cover 1, 6, 7 - the whole back line to be fair. He is a massive talent and he can play...
Because of that I feel it is highly unlikely he will sign for us.
