Do you watch any rugby union? That's where is is now playing in Queensland

Yes I watch a little Union but not down in Australia and it's not generally televised in the UK unless you can afford Sky. Playing for Sunnybank? If available to RL I'd have thought he would have been in the Papua New Guinea squad but he wasn't so why try to sign him?

I know there will be those against this signing but his experience and strong running will be needed next year. Hopefully it's on a 1 year deal.

| Richie Moore will go well for you guys.
Odd brain fart aside (which a prop with his off loading desire will never come off 100% of the time) he did well in the limited stints he had with us last year.
There were times where he deserved picking in front of others ( i'm thinking Kirke and Bailey) as when he did get a few games he didn't let anyone down but he clearly wasn't in McDermott's inner circle of trusted favourites)
He always offered good aggression which JP aside was often missing in our pack and he possesses something none of our other props (again maybe JP aside) had....an offload game.
Granted he'll still have the mad moments where he'll try an offload that's not on and turn over possession, give the odd silly penalty away, usually through fatigue IMO and be caught out on defence now and again but not many props are perfect.
Given his likely low cost in terms of wages I think he will turn out to be a fairly astute signing for you guys.
All the best for 2014. I really hope you surprise a few people

That's a really good summation of Richard Moore, I'd add that he'll likely be given a remit by Richard Agar and will have a clearly defined role, also he's one of the best kick chasing front row forwards you'll find in the game.

| At th age of 32 Moore should be in hie prime for a prop.
Let's hope, if he comes ,he comes with something to prove.
If so he could be good value for 2/3 years.
At his best, to me, he is at least the equal of Poore.

I'm feeling more optimistic about next season and thats even prior to any announcements which will hopefully come within the next 7 days.
I'm not so sure that we should sign anyone for longer than a year due to the uncertainty of super league and committing ourselves financially?...
This bloke would be good for a 1 year deal...

| Another hard solid display by the Fiji prop he is playing for Avignon. Surely this guy is one of the 7. If not I question our scouting policy. Richard Moore or him??? Both would be good but come on no comparison. We need to be looking before someone else picks him up

Anyone that we sign will very likely have a clause in their contract regarding SL.
When P/R was last in vogue, all contracts had a termination clause if the club was relegated.
This does of course make recruitment and long term planning far more difficult for clubs in the bottom half of SL.
One of the plus points of the licence system will disappear when P/R returns

| I'd be more than happy to see Moore back at Wakey; as others have said, he has the odd brainfart and there are times when his desire outreaches his ability, but I think he'll be a decent replacement for Poore; he'll give away fewer penalties and will probably do more minutes, so represents value for money in that respect.
He's an honest, hard-running forward who always gives 100% - that's what we'll need next season.
