| The try was a try because no one was touching him when he hit the ground so he was allowed to get up.
There was a lot of incidents where we just didn't react quickly enough This was one.
The tries we scored were top class.
Although you might not like them, tge yellows were by the book. To be honest I thought Lino might get a red. There's every possibility that we'll be missing Lino next week.
We have two outstanding jumpers for the ball in Roarke and Johnstone. We have to keep giving them opportunities. Kicking to Scott's win was just ridiculous

Yes you?re right, kicking to Scott repeatedly was nothing short of scandalous. If it?s Powells plays then he?s got it wrong but if not he needs to be into Lino for that. It could be better to move Lino to the left edge as it stands. He set up 3 try?s at Bradford on one leg on the left last season. Wrong team selection, wrong tactics and lack of smarts. I was quite angry at the end that we had just gifted that game. All Catalans try?s were soft too compared to our well worked and skillful try?s. We look a team with very little left in the tank. Whether it?s fitness or mental toughness I don?t know but we looked tired that second half and just kept inviting Catalans to our line.

| you might recall ... I was in town for my first live game since 2018... And I loved it... When we got to the stadium and I saw the respective teams I had a huge sinking feeling... That Catalans team was strong... Experienced and battle hardened. What evolved gladdened my heart... The teams desire to play football, the atmosphere in the crowd... Friendly but hugely passionate. Having watched all games on TV this year, on replay most of last... And now live.. All will say is that you guys are so lucky to be a part of this evolving story. Ok... so we were not able to maintain the standard into the second half and Catalans had the players to bring the game back to them ... Keary was massively instrumental in that process... His sin binning seemed to awake a desire in him.
I am very aware I was watching a project.. A bit like the early stages of an art project, in that you can tell its going to be good.... Now I have magic, Warrington and Salford and (win lose or another golden point) I intend to savour every second.
One final point, it was nice to see the Catalans players come across to pay acknowledge the Trinity supporters, particularly Tariq Simms who spent some time pointing and applauding with a facial expression which showed genuine respect.

| Agree with pretty much everything above. Glad you enjoyed the game Spook, it?s a superb atmosphere over there isn?t it.
Was pleased to see Jowitt in the halves and thought he played pretty well. But Lino did have a stinker, particularly in defence. Picking Scott again was disappointing, kicking to his wing even more so. Could Powell really have done video on Reimis Smith and Nick Cotric then instructed his halves to kick out there? If so that?s as astonishing lack of detail and respect.
Thought our pack was outstanding once again. Tough, quick, enterprising with the ball, genuinely entertaining. But I?m in alegend?s camp now - we need some serious strengthening in our back line. We need a winger badly if we want to break into that top 6 next year.
Bit frustrating, but of all the fixtures in most comfortable losing in France, especially if we play well.

Typical Trinity performance,we had it and we lost it! Dumb football, and it's so frustrating. When it came to the 'hard slog' part of the game we came up with crucial errors, and it cost us in the end. Can't fault the lads for effort but we're lacking a bit of quality, especially in the kicking department.Got to keep reminding myself that this is a 2/3 year project but every loss hurts badly.
We are missing quality ,hope the signings for next year are at least one quality and winger ,some of our backs looked to be treading water in attack yesterday ..As the grounds dry out our forwards seam to be getting stronger and faster ,but the pace in the backs seam to be getting slower ..Think the last try Catalan scored sums it up for me Lino was the only player to attempt to get across to stop it ,.no winger , ,or fullback in sight. The running chances are wingers are getting because of overlaps are not happening. .Think it needs more than a fully fit Truman to fix it .It needs some quality While the team are giving 100 % like yesterday you have got to get behind them .But maybe we are not as good as our first four games suggested .

Who created those running chances though? Max Jowitt mainly with his work off the ball creating the extra man and space on the edge from full back. Something we lose completely when not there. There?s a reason Max is regularly putting out assists to the edges. Russell will hopefully come onto the wing next week but the writing was on the wall with Scott on wing last week so it?s a real head scratcher why he was there again with two actual wingers in the 21. What?s Nene McDonald doing these days. I?m fine with the left edge but with no left pivot or full back who creates space we are starved of any creative play on the left presently. I do think Trueman will make a big difference. I think for the sheer amount of ball the right side is getting that edge needs to be doing better.

| A few comments about Scott but I don't think he had a bad game, he just wasn't a fast tall winger. He made great ground from the back, which is clearly why he's there but he isn't going to take high balls or scorch down the wing.
If I could pick a player in a bottom club not on quota (but under contract for another year unfortunately) I'd pick Adam Swift at Guants. He'd fit us perfectly

It really seems like Walmsley days are numbered. I think next season we could see Tchamambe on the wing. On a big pitch at Newcastle though we need more pace on that right wing. Russell if fit would be a timely boost that?s for sure. Adam swift would be a good signing but if he?s contracted till end of 2026 he?ll not be far off calling it a day by then.

T J showed what a winger is all about when taking high balls ,he had the pace and skill to make yards through the on coming Catalan players not just run to the first tackle and go down .Adam Swift would just be a stop gap .We have got one in Russell who's 60 yard runs are way gone .At present we have one side of our attack that is round about Championship level ( because of lack of speed for S L) and it as got to be fixed if we are going to be a top six team
