When DL was promoted she managed the community trust JE was not even at the club when this happened.
If it's £450 divided by 15-20 girls I don't think that goes that far To creat a wedge.
What I do know from experience is that running the dance academy with 100's of parent contacting you is not easy I do it for junior football and get in undated by 15 parents asking questions at all hours.
I would suggest with season ticket sales kids paying for dance classes and parents buying ticket shirts and becoming fans. And the RL doubles sales
Positives far out way the negatives for the club hence as Jason points out they are keeping it going.
Langham points out they were at Headingley warrington for World Cup all after sE had left the club And would be no longer paid which shows she cared about the kids not a quick buck.
Rather than having a go at individual who set it up a blue print it seems all clubs have copied. Why dont we just thank her for her work and wish her well.'"
She continued taking dance classes after her day job at the club finished. She was preparing the girls for the World Cup games. To the parent who commented earlier. Dance teachers come and go just like scrum half and stand offs. Yes girls and parents have their favourites and have loyalties to certain ones after years working together. Things move on. There are more dance teachers in the world than Sarah and hopefully the club can find one who can do a good job of the dance side of things as Sarah did.

Here here! Could not have put it better myself!
All clubs have copied this blueprint and i'm sure without her and the girls the community department will continue to grow, no one is denying this, however i just believe the 'wildcat dolls' (whether you see this as SE or a group of girls) are taking a slating for something that is not and has never been their fault. Leave them all alone and let them enjoy their young dancing days! As previously said by Wrencat1873.
I really do hope this thread stops here, as i'm sure if any the of the wildcat dolls were to read this it would be quite upsetting as they did always have a great rapport with WTW fans.

In all fairness, I don't think that any of the comments on here are directed at the girls themselves who, individually and as a group, did a fantastic job.
The questions are about the funding and as mentioned previously, aimed at S.E. who, it seems, some people think was getting "overpaid" and as I mentioned in an earlier post, this was irrelevant until the brown stuff started flying.

| I'm sure Sarah Elston has moved on. It's a pity one or two individuals on here can't do the same.

| Not fussed, no great loss to me personally and I don't think it's that great a loss to the club. As long as there is still the facility at the club to provide dancing for the youngsters (which I believe there is) then it's no big deal for me....
As a parent of a daughter who is now 12 and has been going on and off for a good 5 or 6 years and had a short stint at having a go.....I firmly believe at that time she would have been interested whether they were the best in the World or just average.....
Also, on the bit about buying tickets.....I buy one just about every game as does me old man......it doesn't matter a jot to me whether it is sold to me buy a young lady wearing very little....or the ugliest man on the planet.......so that is two tickets a week people can take credit away from the girls for selling!

| i for one think SE has done a good job for the club, especially on the girls dancing / involvement side. i know of several girls who wanted to be dolls and hence were dancing with the club,, rather than some other studio.
OK, maybe SE was promoted over others, or maybe she was good at that sort of thing, we do not know. the only bad thing about it was the money she was paid, assuming it was over inflated for that role, but again we do not know

| Be nice if the name Elston was never mentioned at our club again tbh. Whatever good work was done will never outweigh the bad work they ended up doing. However there is obviously value to having cheerleaders so hope they are reformed/ replaced. The dolls minus SE would be fine by me

I would be grateful if you could put this in understandable English.

head and knob spring to mind immediately as is the "relaxed" of anything i could ever understand! i have read various comments from people on this thread, my son plays rugby league and my daughter has been with sarah and the kittens.
as for the kids playing rugby on the pitch with a bunch of shouting parents and then the girls dancing, i certainly know who i would pick! sarah did a very good job with the dolls and all the kids and put in hours of work! the club certainly made a lot of money off the back of what they did with ticket sales as well as the dance camps which were regularly attended by over 50 kids at £40 a go..so to all you moaners on this thread how much have you u brought in and done for the club?? i remember the days of going to the club and having to stand and wait for ted's relatives to finish a phone call before paying for things and being made to feel "unwelcome!" my wife is a manager for river island and was with me once when the female of ted's lot spent over 5 minutes on the phone talking to a friend..she just laughed and said why spend money there!
the club are still doing the cheerleading for the kids and i don't know who/if any of the dolls will be staying but they did raise the focus of our club! They didn't use the "wildcat dolls" in any of their other promotions but did a lot of good to us!
i personally wish all the best to sarah in the future!

| Is this still going on? Tamgrace put tha axe away .
What have I done? Bought my ticket, shirt and attended games.
I'm pretty sure the dance camps at £40 a head will not all go to the club and that the dance classes will be a seperate business owned by SE but associated to the club. If anything the business and these fees were only possible through the exposure of the club so it's a two way thing. The girls were employed they did their job and did it well but I'm sure they got alot out of it for themselves on many levels as did the club.
I will applaud the work they did but they are gone and got plenty out of it. move on for gods sake and lets look forward. All this digging at SE and then others defending her honour is painful to read and boring.
They are gone, lets see what we have going forward.

| All money for camps was taken directly by the club, so yes went to the club. The dance academy is owned by the club and takes all money for that. Just to set the record straight on that. SE ran the dance academy as part of her full time job .
People involved with the kittens or dolls seem to have praise for the work done and many others just speculate, things which in the most part are wrong. Can we not just wish them all good luck.

Quite a lot actually and just for the record i've never take anything out, not a single free ticket or a penny in wages.
The rest of it i won't disagree with other than the " all the best".
No offence to any of the dancers and good luck to them all.

| The schoolkids were far more entertaining and would more than likely get a lot more kids interested in the game.
