On proof reading:
Jan 1986 - no 'f' in Wakefield
Sep 1898 - style, 'including' used twice in one sentence, could just use 'with' in the first instance

Perhaps the record ground attendance could have been mentioned, although the match did not include WT.
I quote from the JC Lindley book highlighted above, where it talks of the cycle track being removed and the raised banking became spectator accommodation.
'Otherwise there could not have been that record attendance of 37,906 for the Huddersfield-Leeds Cup semi-final on March 21st, 1936.'

You don't need to the club is paying.
Keep your powder dry for something else. This was such a rush job that it didn't seem right to ask the fans and also it won't make money and we though fans might want to back a money maker in the future. |

To late it's printed now.
Hoping at some point to do something more substantial, maybe with the Heritage boys, that we can make the club some money from. This is just a little something for the Sunday so although I'd love it to be perfect the turn around time didn't allow much in the way of checking and editorial.
On anything I ask you lot to contribute to in the future will have a much longer lead time and I will include you all as it goes along.
Something I'm thinking of is our 25 years of SL, assuming we make it. Not just a book but also a video available on Trinity TV. But that's way off. |
