Quote: bren2k "I'm not going to blow smoke up your arris old lad - NL1 is in no way, shape or form more entertaining than SL and that, I'm afraid, is a fact.
'"

That's a matter of opinion, not a fact. Exciting SL games on TV are few and far between, the same can't be said for the Championship which are regularly evenly fought contests. Players are not as big, fast and strong, I'll give you that, but,in my opinion, their pure footballing skills are just as good but with more time and space to express themselves.

Regarding the patronising bit, well personally, I couldn't care less what happens to your club. Perhaps what doesn't sit well with you is the fact that my club has made a remarkably positive effort to go forward, much more so than Wakefield, and without the benefit of Sky's millions at that.

If Rovers can do it then so can any other club in the Championship is all I was saying. No need for the nastiness.

Quote: Chris Dalton "Some of you really deserve championship rugby league. The way you talk about it and slag it off is sad and you will at least learn a lesson about the lower leagues. Your club is not too good for the championship, and several of the clubs in it would shine in the super league given the chance but they never will. It's an entertaining league but its being treated shoddily by those in charge of the game.'"

We do know about lower leagues we have been there in the past we just don't want to be there. Whats wrong with that? We as a club and a CITY have the potential under our new ownership and with NM on the horizon to be a top SL club so if we don't get a franchise it will be a shame but we will dust ourselves down and go in a professional manner to get back in SL asap

To say you couldnt care less about us you always seem to be on here. In what ways have fev gone more forward than Wakefield? Community, schools, crowds, academy, scholarship, away fans experience? I'm not getting into a wakey fev fight no doubt that will happen if we go down at post office road but what have fev done to move more forward than wakefield?

Learn a lesson? You seem to forget that we've been there, done that and bought the replica shirt.

Work commenced on revamped ground is pretty substantial wouldn't you say? This and the other attributes, apart from crowds which we don't inflate like some, have been achieved without the SL funding that Wakefield have had. Pretty remarkable I'd say.

By the way I come on here about twice a week much the same as I visit other clubs boards. I'm a RL fan and like to see what's going on.

Read my second sentence, we do as much as Wakey and most other SL clubs ie Youth structures, Schools, Scholarships, Education for all etc etc but without Sky funding. And without going bust.

You seem to be under the misconception that Sky funding is anything other than a subsidy towards part of the players' higher wages.

Add to them the likes of Fev, Dewsbury, Workington it would be a long slow death new young fans would go off to support the SL clubs
Divorced from ALL RL if we lose out icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED:

Im obviously in the minority but I can't say Im that bothered about going down to the Nation League.

Good honest Rugby, and all about the game, not fancy stadiums? Not that bad.
As people say we may end up in obscurity but we have to face it, theres a very strong chance we will lose our license so thats where we are going anyway.

Plus I fancy a trip to Blackpool k020.gif

Wherever we play, whatever division I shall remain a season ticket holder until my (or the clubs) last breath.

Its not so much the relegation, but the manner in which its been done. Crusaders,Cas,KR,Salford, and Quins all recruiting for next year already, you tell me how that works then and not be bitter.

I understand that totally. It stinks but we have to accept it and try to move forward.
For the good of OUR club if nothing else.
