It is very tempting for other speccies to throw the boot in, but this misses the point in distinguishing between the obvious failings of the board as opposed to the loyal and steadfast support of the fans - the people who truly support and love their team.
WTWRLFC seem to have been run like a dysfunctional working mans clubs for a while now with a series of broken promises and failure to build on a small but steady core of support.
If, and in the world of RL, it is a big if, Wakefield are replaced at the end of this season, it would be good to see new owners abolish the ridiculous Wildcats moniker and rebuild their club from the grassroots up which I am not sure was ever done under Ted.'"
In agreement there. Time to build again under the name Wakefield Trinity.

| Quote: Herbert Splatt "As for those people saying that the poor small companies who will lose out, and then the club continues as if nothing had changed.... think about this...
If small company 'chooses' to give credit terms instead of payment up front, that is their choice whether to do that deal. They can choose to build in any risk involvement into the price. They can choose not to do future transactions if they feel they are having difficulty getting payment.
If they feel the club may be in difficulties, they can choose to put the club on stop until payment is received.
If the club after admin want to re-engage the supplier, they can pretty much expect a higher price which would recoup any previous losses. New club will not get the same terms as old club if there has been a loss.
With all business transactions with credit, there is the element of risk. You get some winners, some losers, some prepare for that with increased prices for the risk, some don't. With all business, there is the element of choice (no monopolies) so small companies cannot put ALL the blame at a club if they choose administration route.'"
Could not agree with your post more mate. Unfortunate, but the reality is just that!

secondly, non i have not wrote to any local MP as what is the point in the scheme of things.
thirdly, you have clearly never been caught up, taken for, or affected by a company entering administration before. the affects can be far reaching. i can give you a numbe rof exmaples form the construction industry where small sub-contractors have lost their homes, wordly possessions and will to live on the back of being taken for a few quid by some rather large construction firms. the feelings are world ending and leave many unable to sleep at night, but your right thats just business!! rediculous!! i bet you went to private school and fed with a silver spoon with an attitude like that?! maybe you are the one who needs to grow up?
i do agree re credit insurance and to be fair most companies i know do have it although with the ever increasing number sof companies bailing out the cost of premiums are soaring and they are reaching unaffordable levels for many, hence why they are not mandatory!!
and as for being a troll, i think not! bitter, maybe?'"
Top tip young lady, when registering under other usernames to have a pop try and cover your tracks better, this attempt is rediculous!!!!!

| I fear you are going to get a tide of Fax fans on here now baying for blood in their ridiculous belief that they should be in SL over you now that the licencing dead line approaches. I would just like to say to all you Wakey fans is please don't stop supporting your club and keep your chins up. The worst that could happen is you drop down to our league where you all will be very welcome at the LSV.

Hopefully the millionaire new owner, completely debt free club, outstanding community department, impressive and championship winning academy side and a shiny new stadium on the horizon should allow us to keep our SL licence come June/July.
After all the depressing times over the past months things now seem to be going in our favour !'"
I would hate to see the demise of Trinity as a great old club. I've enjoyed visiting Belle Vue, too, over many years. However, the above view is spectacularly rose-tinted. The horizon seems to move back every month with regard to the 'shiny new stadium'. Given that, and your financial woes, I can't see the club getting a 2012 license. However, that may be good news in the long term. Widnes lost out last time around for being in a similar financial position ( through they already had a 'shiny new stadium'). They were bitterly upset at the time, and no doubt three years out of SL has been painful. But it has given them time to completely re-organise, on and off the field. If, as expected, they win the license for 2012 onwards, they will be in a much stronger position to succeed than would have been the case had they won a license last time around. In my view this would be the right thing for Wakefield, too. Three years seems a long time now, but it passes quickly, and you'd still have RL to watch in Championship 1. Much better that than a very hasty attempt to turn the club around only to fade and fail again.

I'm sorry but that is by no means a fair comment. Whilst the issue over going in to administration should mean that any club is penalised, Crusaders included, losing 4 points in a league with no relegation is irrelevant but if Wakey were to go down to the Championship it may well help them to rebuild as a club. It may also actually help to open up the SL for other clubs, the bigger the clubs wanting to come up from Champs then the more chance of P&R being reinstated (very little hope I suppose).
I just hope that RL continues in Wakey for all the fans that have spent time, money and emotional outgoings on the club.

| I am afraid that Wakefield will not get a franchaise for the next three years. Unfortunately the RL will not immediately support a club in financial ruin, they will have to prove their worth in the Championship as Widnes have had to do with their financial problems. Playing at barnsley in the Championship would generate only 1500 or so supporters, not enough to secure a future franchaise. So it looks bleak for the Wildcats. :

| Naff off indeed. How many do you think they would get at Barnsley playing York City Knights. You would struggle to get 2500 at wakefield, so you wont get anywhere near that at Barnsley. Take it on the chin , you will have rebuild and hope you can come back stronger.

| Wildcats wouldn't have to move to Barnsley, if they have to go down to the Championship. They should be able to keep some kind of following?

| All I can say to the doom mongers from other clubs (and in ours too) is that while ever there is a Wakefield Trinity club, at whatever level they play, I will pay my money and go to which ever stadium to watch them.
I'd love a big sugar daddy to come in and take over, and put pressure on the rugby league to give us a license but in reality we are probably just hoping for someone to buy the club and keep it running.
Taking a hit on points for going into admin means nothing when there is no relegation for number of points earned in the league.
And last time we were in the lower league, I really enjoyed the rugby.
Since the decision on the stadium it has been a slow death and demoralising for a lot of people but signs of a resurection are looking promising.......but we'll see.

| The only way any player could walk away and join another club,is if he didn't receive his monthly salary,so as long as they are paid,no problem, but the administrators,i presume, would accept any reasonable offer for players.Does anyone know who any of the new potential owners are?would Sir Rodney be in a position to lead a consortium?
