| Quote Gaslight="Gaslight"Hey! I never said it was good logic, I said it was BASIC logic.
If everything were to be done in a literal way Cas would move up that imaginary table for sponsor money, for all we know this new sponsor might be worth 1p more or 1 million more, who knows.'"
I should imagine Craig Poskitt would know, I suppose, being the Commercial Manager. After all he negotiated the last deal and I should imagine he'll be negotiating the new sponsor should we get one or with the old sponsor.

Yes but the Chairman of Widnes signing up to a large sponsorship deal with a rival club for a SL licence or indeed a rival SL club in 2012, would not be the wisest thing to do

Put it this way, if they don't I will gladly contribute 100 quid to squadbuilder (assuming we still have a squad in need of building)

| Quote Gaslight="Gaslight"No but a company would do research and know Cas are on the verge, would they want to sponsor a club in such a position without getting a reassurance from the club about the position they will be in in just over a years time'"
Maybe the potential sponsor isn't as daft as you make out, and has an opt-out clause in the contract in the event that Cas don't deliver what they promised? If I were a company offering the "mother of all sponsorships", I'd be knocking at other doors before I came knocking at Cas. It probably is a very good sponsorship deal for Cas, and if it is, well, fair play to you for getting it. It doesn't make the slightest bit of difference with regard to our respective positions re. a new franchise, IMO.

No, but it makes a difference if all of us get new stadia. Remember, it's not just that but entire business plans.

Do you honestly believe that? I don't think it'll make the slightest difference myself. It's only my opinion, of course, but SL is a members's club, it can invite who it wants. If it wants another team in Cheshire, or another team in France, it'll get that, business plan or no business plan.

| its not the biggest deal in super league but not far behind the deals that hull.fc have with p&o ferries and leeds with carnegie but is still far more lucrative than castleford has ever had.
all i will add is its not a name that roles off the tounge and the proof is ive already forgotton the name but has said they are their countrys main exporter who have a base in normanton and are said to be owned by the king of their country.
plenty of clues work the rest out yourself`s
has for stobart ive heared they are looking to open up a storage park and base up at j32 very very close to where the stadium is to be built.
