I don't think you need to do a match up, head to head, for each team. It's generally Moors, Millington and Gale who do the damage against us. The rest can just hang onto their coat tails if they feel like it. icon_sad.gif

If BJB plays I hope he cuts out the usual attempted interceptions. Missing and giving the wing man a free run or knocking down for another set of 6 is the last thing we need on tackle 5 or 6!

He's a monster on the pitch but is quite a normal size guy when I see him walking round Crofton, where I presume he lives.

Quote: homme vaste "For me this is how i see the two sides -

Pack - Evenly matched throughout, if Fifita does not play (Which does not look likely as he is not in the 19) I think they might just have the slight edge here, they seem well oiled and sing of the same hymn sheet - Moors and Millington seem to get a bit of a role on, Massey is average but he is a workhorse. I don`t really rate Springer or Green though. The second row looks pretty evenly matched, Cook was brilliant in the first half last week at Leeds, Ashurst always stands up well.. Horo has to be better this week although he has already shown he is a workhorse in defense.

Backs - Centres are a hand full in Webster and Shenton, we know Bill has been playing really well, he is a threat in attack and holds his own in defence - Depending on whether we go with Lynne or Arundel isn`t it? Arundel i think is better at putting his winger away and solid in defence, Lynne on his day can carve defences up and gives us big threat.

For me were we have the advantage is on the wings, we have two of the fastest wingers in the league and two of the best in the air! On the other hand Minikin seems weak under the high ball and him and James Clare are not the fastest, if we can break them on the wings we could very well score a few tries on the flanks.

Fullback is an uncertainty for them, Roberts is prone to an error and Truman is inexperienced and his confidence will take a knock if we preassure him right from the off. Where as in my eyes with Grix we have one of the safest pair of hands in the league.

We need to target there weaknesses right from the off and try and give them very little time on the ball right from the off to have a chance of getting the result tonight. Easier said than done i know!'"

I don't think the pack is evenly matched. We have bigged our pack up this season and although in terms of weight and size it probably is equally the largest, when we don't have Fifita we lack drive, tackle busts and winning the ruck. Castleford have beaten our pack every game I've seen us play them since I can remember.

I agree wholeheartedly which is why it is bemusing we never kick for them to try and attack the ball on the opponent's try line. It is one part of our game that infuriates me. Johnstone must be one of the best leapers for the ball I have seen and we never bloody kick it high for him to catch or if we do the kick is far too deep for him to do anything with.

Cas are missing a few from the pack though, probably most notably JSL who for me is on par with Moors as their best forward, as i said though as it is i think they edge it in the pack slightly.

Agreed we don`t utilise them anywhere near enough as we should do, beggars belief really when you look at how poor our last tackle plays are 15/20 meters out..

I would hope that we will be putting their FB and wingers under some kick pressure tonight as it does seem to be their Achilles heel at the moment. Looking forward to the game, always enjoy our derby games both at home and at Cas.

Just a bit of defence on behalf of BJB,I think most wingers are coached to attack the centre when defending and the FB should hopefully be following the ball and gets over to the winger, so he maybe following orders....maybe.

Surprise surprise. Fafita plays as I said he would a few days ago. You did the exact same last year.

Laughable.
As predictable as a surprise on Cilla Black’s ‘Surprise Surprise’.

Did the same with Kyle Wood against Hudds a few weeks back against Hudds, wasn't named in 19 but ended up starting. Personally I don't know how we keep getting away with it. icon_smile.gif
