| Quote: The Clan "I agree with you James Evans will probably do a good job for any team that played for but I also agree with you that Wakefield Trinity should possibly be looking at different options.
Leeds Rhinos have a surplus young and promising three-quarters who are all rapidly reaching the stage where they need first-team football. Even with the departure of Lee Smith and the approaching retirement of Keith Senior, who may well play for another year, the rhinos can't accommodate everybody.
Mike Ratu, Jodie Broughton, Ben Jones Bishop, Ashley Gibson, Kallum Watkins etc
Wakefield Trinity should be looking at one or two of these players and trying to come to some agreement with the rhinos with the player themselves to bring them over and offer them first-team football.'"
You've no chance with watkins or jones-bishop both tied to long term deals and are definately the future of our back-line.
As for the others nothings been done deal wise yet so i wouldn't be surprised to see them leave although gibson seems to be in favour and ratu has been impressive for the resrve's.

Could a season long loan be out of the question?? Any 'kid' with a future will learn so much more actually playing in a 1st team.

| Danny Cowling form the academy should be our number 1 centre target, OK it may be for future years but he is one of many we should be looking at tieing up to a long term full time contract. Him and Annekin are awesome prospects, I don't think Annekin is far off being ready for a shot at first team already, a loose forward with pace, power, vision and a great rugby brain, he reminds me of a more skillful and brainier gareth hock, could be the answer to our problems at loose forward.

Danny is a cracking player and a cracking lad, he won't be too long, he's been learning the game for a while now and has a older head on those young shoulders.
Annekin is very very good, just a bit small.

Wouldn't say he's small but even if he is the way he reads the game and the angles he runs more than make up for that, hes a solid defender too, looks to have the makings of a quality player to me.

No pace and can't read the game, defence is shaky but he may improve.

| After watching the 18's for the first time on Saturday Annekin was one of the few that made me come away thinking our future was fairly bright if we can hold onto them.
Southernwood was head and shoulders above anything else on the field but thought Gibson (how quick??!!), Trout, Colleran, Wildie and Annekin were not that far behind.
In Southernwood & Annekin i think we definately have 2 who should be pushing in the near future with the rest not that far behind (development permitting)

Got to agree, the other winger Dale Morton is a strong player too, hopefully we can keep hold of these lads , if we do the future looks very bright.

With the new rules on "dual registration" it could be a possibility although with smithy leaving Ben-jones-bishop is the heir apparent to webbs shirt so i'd be surrised if he went on loan.

| Quote: BelleVueLifer "So, Whats getting talked about on the forums, in the stands and in the meida...and at the moment....ive picked up on the following thus far....
[iOUTS[/i
Pitts - Leeds
Martin - Cas
Drew - Cas
Brough - Hudds
Blanch - Union
[iINS[/i
Tronc - North Queensland Cowboys
Broughton - Leeds
Newton - Bradford
[iSeemingly out of favor/possibly on the way out[/i
Rooney - Barrow
Bibb - Hull Kingston
[iOther speculation of incoming players[/i
Jeffries - rumours of serious financial trouble at bradford and him wanting to come back
Tickle - he's been mentioned.
Obst - it has been mentioned on here that a long serving overseas man will depart
so, potentially, 8 men departing, 5 incoming and seen as we promote youth at our club, maybe 3 to graduate to full time contracts...8 ins, 8 outs...
thoughts anyone?'"
Wouldn't touch BJ with a barge pole. He left wanting to go back to Aus, didn't realise he couldn't read a map and got stuck in Bradford!
