| I have had a look they originally planned terracing like now, then planned a food area and now just an unfinished void. This will definitely cut the North Stand capacity and it does not say how they intend to leave it or what they are doing with the overgrown waste land.

| Quote: PopTart "I don't think that's what it means. On the original plan, the back of the terrace was designated for food outlets.
It now says they are retaining the terrace instead of resurfacing.
I'm no expert but I'm not sure that some have misunderstood the intent of the ammendment.
For a start it says the changes are non material.
The change is to reduce the amount of area being resurfaced. That doesn't necessarily mean reducing the capacity.
To Dunk's point. I'd quite like JM to explain.'"
If you read the plan it says the area at the back of the stand will not be changed and will be inaccessible for financial reasons. This means that the majority of the roof will actually cover empty terracing.

| Well there it is in black and white. That is a considerable down grade in capacity and no retail outlets. What worries me is that we were told this agreement was water tight , all signed sealed and would be delivered. Seems not, but if they can pull off a down grade like this even before the construction phase has started is a worrying development.
Lets hope there are no more down grades on the spec of the main stand.

| Quote: Dunkirk Spirit "Having had a quick look at the new plans, I have to say it’s very disappointing it’s come to this. The proposed capacity of 3500, will probably not provide hall of that, nothing to indicate concessions kiosks. It looks like the new terrace steps will be a little higher but only 8 of them. Really disappointing that fans have to visit the council planing portals for redevelopment information. Again it’s poor club media management to keep informed the very people using the facility. I’m an East Stander, and now beginning to wonder what changes are in store for us. My message to the club, keep the fans informed, it’s like finding out from your mother in law your wife’s left you.'"
What do you think regarding the rear of the North Stand because my view could be wrong it is not my area of expertise and I doubt it is for many on here.

Tap on the document icon top row shown below. There is the drawing and written information. Very sad day, shows how much costs have gone through the roof, can’t blame the club for that, just the poor communication with fans.

The amount of money we received from the developer is watertight.
What's not watertight is the cost of construction and materials in the current climate.
The funding isn't stretchy.

| So it clearly state minor amendment yet the normal suspect immediately inflate it to being some total collapse - it’s pathetic.

Come on Vasty we havnt even started and yet already lost about 50 % of the terrace to be up graded. Plus about 1000 final capacity. Also lost the retail outles etc on north stand which will reduce match day income. Plus it will look daft having a stand covereing spare ground with no supporters. If they can pull off strokes like this ,they will get away with more and that is what worries me.

No terracing has been lost.
The kiosk platform has been lost.
I'm sure it can be added in when finances allow.

We now have a stand with permanently reduced capacity and half the roof covering nobody so not exactly what was proposed only a short time ago. It is not inflation but fact you can read it yourself or look at the pictures. In the grand scheme of things it may be minor but to the supporters they may not think so. We are trying to make the club appeal to new supporters and possibly those deciding a teams future and I don’t know how the end result will look.

No we don't.
The amendment is not permanent.
Steeper terracing has been put in and the platform lost.

It doesn’t say that anywhere - shows me where it says any of that on the amendment. Apart from some very minor amends it’s exactly the same as the plans that were passed last November.
What is your problem, why the need to create huge issues out of nothing.

| Also, the first row of the new terrace section is raised over half a metre higher than the previous iteration, massively improving the viewing.
Further, the new layout is a steel based terrace, rather than a concrete overlay.
I imagine it will be semi-permanent and can be repurposed elsewhere in the ground, should finances change the stadium progression.

He's probably off to the Algarve to play golf for the 4th or 5th time this year and wants to cause a bit of mischief before he goes.
