Trust me, as a Fev fan you don't need to tell me how irrelevant the regular season is!

Sorry. That was for everyone else too.
This is our first time. I appreciate you can tell us a few things about the Championship.

I think it will be an interesting ride.
Looking forward to our local Derby.
If we can get Jonny Thompson playing for that one, and maybe Paul Mallinder we'll be on it.
(Depends how old you are to get that one)

Not sure I quite get the reference, even though I'm old enough to remember Jimmy Thompson let alone Jonny.
Yes, it will be good from our POV to have a Derby back. Suspect you will be a fair bit stronger than us this year, but we'll see.

I can understand why it wouldn't register for a fev fan but in 88 we had a decent team with Mark Graham and Steve Ella. We won some big games but it all fell apart and we had a long losing run.
Mark Graham went home and left us in the learch. Toppo decided to put a lot of local lads in, like Jonny and Paul Malinder who weren't world beaters but bled red white and blue.
With that new found Trinity spirit, led by Ella, we beat a pretty good Fev side that day and got the season back on track.
Nothing game to anyone else but it's a signpost to many about the need for passion for the team and work ethic over skillful players out for themselves.

Ah ok. Think you beat us twice in 5 days over the Xmas holidays?
Here's a link to the programme from the Post Office Road game (from the superb Fevarchive website, a great resource if you ever want to check back on past games against Fev).
https://www.fevarchive.co.uk/programmes ... mber-1988/
Page 2 on today's game indeed talks about the "crippling injury list" at Belle Vue and Graham's recent departure. Later in the programme there's a long piece about Wakefield's "golden years".

| Powell wants a younger half.
Josh Rogers is one name that I've heard a few times.
Plays in the reserve grade down under.
My thought on him and the two weve brought in already, is the visa issue and lack of first team action

One lads half Scottish so should have an issue with a visa, not sure about the other.

He would be a very good signing. Fairly big half with a very good kicking game out of hand and conversions and a passing/running threat.
Been on the cusp of NRL for a few years, possibly got a run this year during Origin period for Brisbane.

| I am sure we will have sorted any visa issues with these players before announcing them . Just thinking are visa qualification are two way thing because the likes of Murphy seem to have no problem and he's only same as the lads coming over

| The visa issues are complicated by the RFL, not the government.

It’s the government who set the rules to allow entry hence it is easier to join a French club than one based in the U.K.
