| Quote alegend="alegend"Chester did say after the Leeds game, that Jowitt,K Wood. And Battye, would be back for the Catalan game'"
He did indeed but clearly they are not so the only logical explanation is they are not fit. Annoying because all three would get the nod from me. What I’m not is baffled.

| Agree ,but if players are out rumers star spreading .about fallen out with Coaches, going to Catalan .That's one of the good things about Mr Carter having a zoom meeting every month it helps out there to bed. Interesting to ear J Westerman on about how much the culture of the club as change in the close season .And is in a far better place than last season

| Quote Luppylad="Luppylad"Was he not not the ref who allowed marshall to tap the ball where he wanted to at belle vue 18 months ago which led to winning try. If he was he owes us a few'"
It was worse than that. If you watch the footage, he doesn't just tap it 15 yards away from the mark but actually runs away from the mark because the Wakey forwards were lined up in front of it and ran into the gap. Disgraceful.

| Quote Dunkirk Spirit="Dunkirk Spirit"Chris Chester mentioned the ball stealing on last nights full 80 minutes. He wanted to know at what point is the tackle completed, considering Tom was on the floor with his free hand touching the ground,'"
From that description, with his free hand touching the ground, Tom would have been allowed to off-load it, so not completed.

| Quote Schunter="Schunter"Please no the game doesnt need it it’s just a pointless gimmick imo, just accept refs get decisions wrong sometimes and dimwits like some of the pundits on TV don’t know their Head from their arris'"
It's very good for quashing dissent though, because the ref just asks them if they want to challenge it and they shut up.

| Quote Slugger McBatt="Slugger McBatt"From that description, with his free hand touching the ground, Tom would have been allowed to off-load it, so not completed.'"
The problem being that two or even three tacklers can be involved. One stays on his feet and clamps the ball and the others wrestle the player to the ground with the ball carrying arm still held up by tackler 1, who then gives the nod for the others to peel away before ripping the ball from the grounded player. Its a terrible rule and it looks awful.
I doubt that this was the intended outcome from the rule change, but that is what it has created.

| I always say it, captains challenge is probably the only positive rule they have brought in in the last 10 years and ironically the only one we haven't adopted over here.
It's interesting to see some on here call it a gimmick when as you say alegend, it is used quite successfully quite often and quite often changes games, I've heard the majority of coaches over here would prefer to have the rule, I know Chester certainly is in favour of it but the problem we have is not every game is televised so we then get into the unfair advantage at televised games (which I think we have anyway with the video ref!!).

| I dont see how the new stripping rules improve the game at all, just another thing to be interpretated by the refs, funny how we adopt these rules from Aus but our refereeing standard's are no where near there's in the amount of resource each game gets, maybe a good idea in theory to have the same rules throughout but implementing them and judging them correctly is a completely different ball game over here.
We have now got the point where there are a set of new rules every year, its all getting a bit silly for me.

| Though the OZZ ball strip rule is not in use this season .Could be wrong. but have not seen it so far.Think it should be kicked out ,Think the big clubs get the 50/50 calls as it is without refs calling that
