| I think back to my life, pre retirement, working in schools. If OFSTED came in and found the kids were under achieving it would be an issue of leadership and management. If the Head tried to blame the children or the teachers s/he would be laughed out of school. The obvious question would be "Well, you're the boss, what are you doing about it?" If the inspectors followed up with, "Yes, you said that 3 years ago and nothing's changed" there would be serious questions asked about the Head's ability to cause a change and a new Head would be almost certain
Harsh but true - the buck stops with the boss

Sorry but that’s the worst analogy I’ve ever read. So you think 30 year old men are children do you? In that case nobody in any job is responsible for anything.
Here’s your analogy turned on it’s head, Highly paid surgeon chops off wrong leg of patient because he wasn’t concentrating. He stays where he is but Matt Hancock gets sacked because the buck stops with him.
Since the end of WW2 huge numbers of British people have dissolved themselves of personal responsibility for there own actions. This is why we are no longer a super power, just another dot on the map.
Still think your theory holds true? Or are you seriously suggesting it’s only the bosses who are to blame yet the humble artisan is only ever a victim? That to me is an utter crock.

You admitted he was getting nothing out of them and we were going no where so now it’s not him it’s the players, I’m confused. I don’t know if you’ve seen my reply on the previous page but I asked you a few questions

You’re very good at putting words in to people’s mouths and twisting their comments.
I didn’t say the teachers have no responsibility (or are the “victims” - how stupid is that) or that they should stay in their jobs. The whole OFSTED/accountability model is gash - it focuses on the wrong things in schools but the central point remains - the whole point of being in a leadership position is to get the best out of people to achieve success. If you can’t get the best out of your people perhaps you’re in the wrong job. Your analogy of the surgeon is, to quote you, “an utter crock”. If the surgeon had made one mistake he would have to take the consequences. But if he’d been cutting the wrong limbs off for years then, yes I would expect the bosses to be taking responsibility for allowing the situation to continue.
If the buck doesn’t stop with the boss, what’s the point of having a boss?

I am and I know you didn’t mean it exactly like that but it was a poor analogy which I had to challenge. You’re not totally wrong but neither am I and I have no wish to fall out with you over it.
Everybody needs to take responsibility and the buck stops with them all. Children I can forgive, grown men not so much.
FWIW it’s too late or too early whichever way you view it to be sacking or recruiting anyone. The coaches AND the players all have to take responsibility equally and sort it, there is no magic bullet I’m afraid.

| Just had a text from MC.
He’s received £550 which sounds right.
He’s very grateful and passes that on to you all.
He like us is frustrated after Thursday, it’s hurting everyone.
Me taking now, maybe I’ve been harsh on the players also. As the song says ‘rip it up and start again’.
Again though thanks to all who contributed it’s a great effort.

| Hurting it’s bloody more than that some fans say oh well we’re playing Wigan or st .,Leeds tops sides well my response is bullsh££t they’ve got 13 players 2 legs 2 arms 1 head ,were soft, nieve,no fight,no aggression, ,no passion some players need to shown the door ,too many players are too old and not good enough to be playing, change is a must now or relegation is on the horizon, let’s be honest only trinity would leave this terrible situation we’re in ,for what the fans have been put through over the last 2/3 years they want knighting

| Quote: vastman "You miss the point, as snowie says he hasn’t fallen out with anyone it’s just fan fatigue.
Don’t use this to pints score, three directors and 4000 fans are not always going to see eye to eye, there will always be fall outs.
I know big al and his fallout was a shame but he’s moved on. I also imagine 6 years on MC would have handled things differently but we all learn.
The present is all that matters for now.'"
Out of curiosity, how is Big Al these days? Does he stil watch Wakefield?

I don’t miss the point at all, I get where he was coming from, regarding volunteering, and that’s why I brought up Al and Broughie, and I get what you’re doing, but nobody is point scoring.
I think regarding Al, your getting mixed up with big Al, who used to post on here. Two entirely different people.

I spoke with him earlier, he no longer watches them, and has no intention to either, following the falling out he had with the club

It's impossible to fall out with "the club". Probably more accurate to say individuals. If I was in that position I would prefer to be like one or two on here, carry on watching the team but simultaneously hating said individual's guts.
Born a Trinity fan die a Trinity fan.

Quite possibly, but in all honesty, I don’t know what kicked off, and I don’t tend to get involved in other people’s disputes.
I don’t think he’s the first, or won’t be the last one, if so, to fall out with someone at the club.
