| CC gives his thought on it all here. Got to say the RFL not even inquiring about the health of Chris is pretty disgusting.

| Quote wrencat1873="wrencat1873"Ah, that's the reason behind the "fair" system, to give the "big" clubs an advantage, so that they can make it to all of the finals and ensure that they sell out.
It all looks much clearer now.
Never appreciated that you had to rely on help from the governing body, I thought you were the mighty Wigan
The measure on all of these things is, what outcome would you want/ expect if the situations were reversed and had it been Sam who had been taken out with the same type of high shot, would the Wigan fans be happy with the offending player getting 1 game ? I dont think so.'"
It's not [igiving[/i big clubs an unfair advantage (who have often earned the right to be a big club through investment in youth and stars etc.), it's quite the opposite. It's giving the smaller clubs an unfair advantage by hamstringing the bigger clubs and dragging them down to the level of teams that can't compete.
We don't rely on help, it just comes with the territory when you're the big boys. "Power begets more power" - George Washington.
If the situation was exactly reversed I would have been happy with the decision at the game and initially quite unhappy with the one game suspension. Then I'd have viewed the tackle back with dispassionate eyes and realised it wasn't that bad a challenge and my anger to the Wakefield player would have abated, the same as my anger about the ban, once I realised he deserves some leniency for 15 years of card-less career.

Empty seats at cup finals are due to the big boys not being there. See Wigan and Leeds at Old Trafford last year as proof of that.

You sir, are just a poor excuse for a troll.
3 months out of the game for O Loughlin misdemeanor and you're still trying to say its all "fair". Utter tripe and once again, fans of a ""big" club show their contempt for other clubs and their players, pure quality.
You take your "class" straight out of the Shaun Wane handbook.
Congratulations, I'm sure that everyone in Wigan is really proud of themselves.

Can you blame the youth coming to Wigan? We have the best facilities and coaching available to them in this country, so if they want to be the best, they have to come. Or they could just rot at a club struggling to stay afloat.

| This case is an absolute disgrace. I've just read that the player Annakin , is liable to miss the next 3 months of the season, i.e. all of the remainder as a result of the attack to the head leading to a bad fall to the ground resulting in a serious leg injury. Where's the players welfare in all this ? I well remember back in the 80'swhen 'a bit of biff' was normal Les Boyd in Australia got 12 Months , yes 12 months for a very similar offence. It's not just the Disciplinary panel who need a root and branch clearout it's the RFL as their governance of our game in all aspects leaves a hell of a lot to be desired and if the club's chairmen/ owners don't start doing something about it we will be left in a relatively short time with no game to watch .
