he has already made a name for himself at Donny, even Agar said so himself when he recalled him at the back end of the season, A host of championship clubs were after him, Halifax, Fev, Batley, Leigh to name a few and if we at Donny have won the race for him then I am delighted, it would be an early Xmas present for all of us DONS fans as in the past we have had quality players and then the bigger clubs have snapped them up. Ben Cockayne is a perfect example of that when HKR signed him after we had plucked him out of the Amateur ranks

we managed it 3 years ago we were nilled at home by Siddall in the cup and struggling to attract players but alot of graft and hard work by the directors and last year we won the league and grand final double and this season was one of the favourites to go down and finished 6th. It was painful in the bad times but amazing the last 2 seasons

How could he prove it when never given the chance. He was good whne playing for Tony Drury along with ,many of our young guns. he had a good game away at Wire whne given the chance and was outstanding yesterday. Also the Donny fans been raving about him all season. Cannot for the life of me understand why we have not yet extended his contract.
