| Quote vastman="vastman"I look at Harrison this way, he's not the worst name suggested. He's certainly better than Agar and at least has some guts unlike Noble. He's about the same as Millard.
At least his first signings are OK.
That said is it actually confirmed yet?'"
True, nothing more than speculation so far.
However thinking about the bloke I would say one thing about him. I bet if Hickey had turned up while he was coach
he would not have 'accepted' is physical condition in the same way as the present lot.

As for Fox I'm no big fan but sometimes that happens with Wingers. I remember Jonesy tracking offiah 70 yards and ending up tackling him head on. He skinned him big time and made him look like a cart horse but only we few remember David Jones. I suspect Fox has had a big fall out with Justin and simply can't be bothered Blanch style.'"
is it not just a forum rumour from someone who has already got one out of three wrong?

| I'm not surprised wakey are struggling to name a coach cos there's that many grade A coaches or so you would think on here spouting garbage they don't know who to choose
To all those who say well if it's him I'm not buying a season ticket " =#FF0000GET A GRIP Give the club and the new coach a chance before slagging them off ffs.
They saved our club.
They are making decent signings for next year.
So they need our support no matter what.

| The best name put up so far is Gentle by some distance, I'd be delighted if it turned out to be true.
I think his background of being a youth coach would be a huge asset for a club like ours and the juniors would benefit from his experience. So too would Tony Dury who is on very much the same track that Gentle has travelled.
If he's not on the clubs radar then they ought to be getting in touch ASAP to make him aware of our need for a new coach.

Agree it is but apparently a few other clubs have got their eye on him as well and according to the article posted on here some where, he's after a 6 figure salary.

All this fits in with the WTST meeting and while i won't build my hopes up on this and i don't see how any of the other names suggested can be seen in a same light, i don't see a link to bringing through the juniors.

| Didn't Gareth Moore and Harrison have a bit of a bust up at Batley before he signed for us? Could be awkward if he did become the new coach

If he will be such an asset to the club AG needs to open his cheque book.
A coach of this pedigree would inspire signings, both at home and in Oz- especially with his experience as number 2 to the national team.
IMO a coach like Gentle would be a huge leap down the road of building the "A Grade" Wakefield deserves.
We need to sell our club as having the plans under way to match this guys ambition.

As always with things like these, it isn't about just giving him the money he wants, it's also about whether he wants to come to Trinity, which could prove the bigger stumbling block.
