Real shame a deal couldn’t be struck that both parties were happy with , but now we move on without him .

Would've liked him to stay but ateotd players better than him have come and gone and we're still standing. Hopefully there will be some additions to the squad before season starts

Nine players down and this must be one of the dumbest decisions. We gave Ashurst a two year deal but Batchelor only one. We are currently gambling on our squad staying healthy because our strength in depth reduces every week.
I hope you can say I told you so at the end of the season because if I am correct we are in big trouble.

Sorry to see Ryan go as he’s a good squad player, even though I personally feel Gaskell is the more talented player if he’s fit and motivated but it’s a big if!

I can’t help feeling that Willie is gonna pay the price for decisions made by his predecessor. Money permitting there was deffo room for both these guys in the squad.

Only so much money this year which looks like it’s being spent on Gaskell, another utility back. But basically these are Chesters signings but it’s Willie that’s holding the reins now.
