What a game of RL we witnessed yesterday and it had it all in 80 mins ,interceptions, near comebacks, cracking tries ,crunching tackles, and a nail biting ending to boot . Well worth the admission fee to see the underdogs come out on top in a pulsating game .

At 26-22 I was bricking it, good test of nerves for the lads to hold on but please can we not have another finish like this?
My old ticker can't take many more of them.

I think we'd have finished most teams off yesterday.
Warrington apparently had players missing - so did we of course but that doesn't count in press reports - but they still had enough quality on the pitch to do the job, but they weren't allowed to. Our defence was superb.
For once the pack, I thought, was dominant. Fifita had his best game for ages and Eddie Battye had a great game, but the outstanding one in the pack for me was Pitts. He's been a very shrewd signing.

What a fantastic and unexpected victory, with some superb tries thrown in for good measure.
Fifita and Lino were outstanding but every player stood up and was counted.
The wobble at 22 - 18 brought back the "Huddersfield feeling" but, this time we got over the line.

For 65 minutes against top opposition we were faultless.

Well played boys !

I still don't understand why Aydin still only plays 10 minutes a game, one game he never came on. I know we are trying to introduce him slowly to first team football, but strange nevertheless.

Again press make it out to be a week Wires team ,Well to me all there big hitters were on the park ,.We were playing our second string centres ,who both went well .Makes you wonder how some of these top coaches would go on with a budget like ours.

Quote: Luppylad "But is he the most consistent like some say.? No for me.millers job is to provide scoring opportunities which he doesnt do constantly.we dont exactly score alot of tries do we yes fantastic result today really proud of the lads but we only created 2trys (one great one)2 of them where given to us and despite a 20 pts lead with 15 to go we held on to win by goalkicks

And watch the game back from last week when we where in control ryan was doing most of kicking and forcing errors and making hudds turn there backs then the ball started going to miller and he was kicking down there throats and giving them easy ball return and the game started to change.im not knocking him esp his effort but our most consistent player is joe or jay by far'"

We just have a fantastic win - against all odds and you are still moaning ffs.
1-17 were excellent and thoroughly deserved the victory. It would have been an absolute travesty if they'd have won.

They will still have had a salary cap busting side out there. Widdop, Austin, Williams and Hill will take care of a huge chunk of the salary cap.

He’s a quality young player. We are incredibly lucky to have found such a young prop with such a mature head.

If this lad stays fit he’s an international in the making. We won’t need an NRL prop to build a pack around.

There is so much young talent at Trinity at the moment it’s staggering.

Here is a list of those I think could make it, not saying they will but they might. In order of quality from what I’ve seen.

Aydin
Murphy
O’Donovan
Eseh
Greensmith
Bowes
Ruan
Windrow
Butterworth

I’ve lost track of Bailey and how he’s doing at Newcastle.

In truth I could add a few more to that list.

In any normal season the list would be two or three max, some years none!

Truth is there are too many in that list to all get through, it’s not a talent issue it’s a balance issue.

All the same it’s a record crop of talent and I just hope it’s not wasted. I’d hope to see at least four or five of those lads as regulars by 2023.

Yes. I don't mind him playing shorter minutes than the other middles but Ayden has to play every game now.
We are unlikely to go down so the risk is minimal but equally he's holding his own anyway. Good time to develop.

One thing that was quite funny yesterday for anyone behind the posts in the bar or boxes was the coaching team.
When Wolves got their roll on, Applegarth and Lyne both came on telling the players not to panic. The problem was you could hear the panic in their voice.
Not quite Dad's Army but it got progressively higher pitched with every try.

It was interesting seeing who stepped up.
Westerman and Pitts were tge clear leaders.
Both talking sense and keeping the team together. Lino was certainly revving them up too.
Was nice to see.

Some people think I pick on this poster and I suppose I do to a degree. But truth is I just don’t get the motivation or the logic. I don’t get why he even bothers as oddly I believe he does actually attend games.

I don’t expect rose tinted but to this poster every game is lost and every player rubbish before kick off.

Mostly I just want to challenge his negativity but this Miller thing has really go my goat because it’s unfair and plain in accurate.

Miller is a limited player, he knows that and we know it. He lack the ability to run a game, if he had it he’d be a star in the NRL

However 99% of SL players have limitations and Miller is one of the better ones. He’s become our most consistent player who leads from the front in every game. He struggles when asked to do things he’s not good at, that is poor coaching.

Miller is first on the team sheet for me because you know what you will get and so long as you don’t overburden him he will go fine.

Lastly said poster never manages a credible alternative. He can’t because both Lino and Hampshire also have flaws.

It’s a team game and so long as those three know there jobs they can cover each other’s weaknesses. That’s how it has to be unless Luppy can unearth a few million the club didn’t know it had.

Not sure if it’s possible but I think it’d be quite fitting if Poptart could get you a little award sent out. “Vastman - The big bad bully of RLFans”
