| 190 mile round trip. £44 for tickets, £30 fuel and then the rest with the knowledge that the official is James Child, a man who could make Thiery Halibut look gifted, fills me with dread but I will be there, as ever hopeful. You cannot give this man any excuse to put his red nose and size 27 boots on.
We must be due a win with him in charge.
Up the Trin.

Well i'm no expert, but he can't be match fit because he hasn't played any matches?! All he had to do when interviewed pre-season was say i'm looking at 6-8 weeks, anything else would be a bonus, then everyone would know. The longer it goes on it's only human nature for people to start drawing their own conclusions, rightly or wrongly, that's just the way it is. The Bradford game would seem ideal to get some game time in, we need him back, even though considering all that's happened when you think about it, we have done ok winning a couple so far.

| In an interview with Lee Radford on a Hull Sports site regarding Friday nights game, he said playing at an old school ground on a pitch like a cow pat will be a big test. Lets hope his players turn up on Friday with the same attitude.

| "It’s an old school stadium and at this time of year the pitch can be like a cow pat".
I don't think that's particularly contentious. It's clearly in the context of the time of year/weather we are experiencing. He may well be surprised at just what good a condition it is in.

I just hope that there was nothing on the post on the Northstanders fb page, a few weeks back, where a team was trying to tempt one of the Fifitas back to the NRL. Someone rubbished it, by saying it was one of his relatives, also called David.'"
Most of the NRL are trying to sign David Fifita to a massive long term contract.
Yes it's true, but it is the other Dave!

It could of gone either way wrencat, he gets some stick does Sneydy, but his left peg is a match winner. Good luck in the future.

I rest my case.

| Although we were blessed with Mr Child usual pedantry, which he evened up a little in the second 40. On reflection, you just have to say that it was a great game of RL.
Hull were the better team in the first half and even making allowance for the help they had from Child, deserved to be in front at the break but, Trinity certainly turned things around in the second 40 and produced a stirring comeback, with the 2 tries from Johnstone, especially the 2nd on, were stunning finishes.
Jowitt and Miller are improving as a partnership and our pack were certainly a match for theirs.
We outscored them 5 tries to 4 and the difference prove to be the boot of Sneyd, although his DG at the end deserved to win any game

I agree with your comments WC, the frustrating thing is we obviously lost the toss for the 'golden point' kick off and never had a chance to take advantage of it ourselves. You could say we should have tackled more ferociously than we did and kept them in their own half but these were tired players and Hull got the luck. Yes it was a cracking drop goal - like Miller did at Cats a couple of years ago!
I take great satisfaction from the game though. If we play as we did in the second half we'll climb the table.
