| I think he did in his earlier days SP, though dont think he has spent much time there recently.
Would rather go with a genuine HB, and one who is already game ready, to probably take over from Broughy

We would all like that but the issue is the quality in that position just isn't there/available, I think we were very lucky with the cover that we had in the halves this year. If you get a genuine half for cover, the likely hood is going to be that they are not very good. If they are any good then 1.They will want paying for it and 2. They wont want to play second fiddle to either Brough or Miller when they are fit, so it will be one of them sat in the stands on a big wage.
I too would like to see some genuine quality cover at halfback but I think that some are being unrealistic, even the likes of Wire often turn to Currie to play in the halves, Cas with Millington etc, Saints did it a lot with Wilkin and then you get some teams that are blessed with a cover that has come through the ranks i.e. Richardson, Patton that take up little budget and can do a job when called upon.
I just hope we don`t panic and take whats available, heaven forbid we end up with Jamie Ellis, I would rather play Big Dave in the halves before him.

| According to RL journalist Matthew Shaw, he is one of four half backs from the NRL, that has been offered to Super League clubs.
The others are Josh Reynolds, Ryley Jacks and Mason Linu

I’ve watched Newcastle maybe ten times this year and mason Lino has always looked very good when he has played
All be it he was paired with Mitchel Pearce who is world class, if Lino turned up I’d be very happy (speculation only on my part here)
I could only see this happening if he maybe came as a fb initially as broughy is still our starting scrum half

According to press no fewer than 13 Nrl players being offered around super league clubs with some big names and contracts to boot

| Couple of current Kangaroos and Origin players in the mix too, NRL salary cap must be biting hard if players of that quality are being moved on

| If money no object then I would sign Myler if he is surplus to requirements at Leeds , I also like Callum Mclelland who is a class act, on loan from Leeds at Fev and if given an opportunity to play SL every week will prove to be top top player, sadly Leeds will not let him go. There is also Chisholm at Fev who would do a great job. The problem with these three is that they will not play as back up, despite Miller having a very poor season he always gets selected so you would not see that changing. The player we might like to look at as cover, if as we presume that Brough and Miller are untouchable would be Matty Wildie, can play 6.7 and 9, would not break the bank and is a player that always gives 100 %

| Would have Williams back or Chisholm in a heart beat. Let them all have a pre season to prove their form and the best two would play. Presume that would mean Brough on the bench but either way we'd have some great competition.

Are we that desperate for a half that myler is in the frame ,shocker of a season for Leeds and a big gamble .leeds thought it was lolohea who was the problem and shipped him to Salford with lui going the other way and we all know how that’s turned out .

| Could be just a coincidence, but you never know.
I too, would have Williams back in a heart beat. Chisolm does look good, but at 29, and nearly all his career spent in the championship, apart from a handful of games at Hull KR, is he SL standard.
Also with Chisolm, if Fev won this weekend, I'm sure they would try to keep hold of him.
Myler is a big no from me, too much in the same style as Miller, but I believe Miller is better.

I don't like to dismis players out of hand but if Chisolm were any good at aged 29 you'd expect him to have been taken on by a SL club by now, especially him being an Aussie.
