Grix is needed to organise the team therefore I would suggest playing him at loose forward. He is closer to the action and can help running the plays.

Then we'll have a big hole in the defense.
Grix for Arona is worth about 30 tackles.

I am not sure that he would weaken the defence but without trying we will never know for certain. I believe it is worth a go because if you are going to experiment this is the time and I do think we need an organiser. It would actually be Randall I would look to rest because I think Woods can play 80 minutes.

I don't think Grix at 13 is any kind of useful experiment.
Just take your pick, play him at FB for his skills or......don't.

Grix is just not a loose forward, end of story and if he was to play there, we would lose both impact going forward and weaken our defence.
He can play 1 or 6 and if we were in really desperate times, maybe fill in across the three quarters but, loose forward ?? and playing him there just to ease a decision of Jowitt or Grix at FB is just ridiculous.

Our defence hasn't seemed disorganised, as such, we've just made some awful individual errors

A full back is a pivotal position I don't think Jowett is the answer and it's certainly not Grix. Both have glaring weaknesses.

I would hazard a guess that as with the rest of the squad, for the money we pay them we are getting a good rate of return. All full backs have weaknesses, it’s just that the ones that play for the top sides either have less of them, or they aren’t exposed as much because they are generally controlling games.

The ones that play for the top sides tend to be paid much more than our budget will allow, which is why we have to accept that the ones we have are good value for a club in our position money wise

Grix at loose forward? That's taking the armchair coaching too far. When he came in at the end of 2016 I saw him as a direct replacement for Craig Hall as a utility back. Turns out he's given us far more than I thought.

The Grix to loose forward thing as a symptom of where we've come from.

We used to be in a position where we had 4-5 good quality players with a smattering of quite good players. In that team you play good players out of position to get the best out of the team.

In our team now we have very good players in every position with good backup too.
If we need a 13 we can play Arona, Horo and Annakin who are very good in that position.......and all lead the tackle count when they play (bar Ashurst), We don't need to change it.
