| It was only one game Pat
How many times did Leeds get tubbed last year?
I wouldn't be so downhearted. Twelve rounds in and you've had one really poor result.
Not being funny but over the last 20 years how many times have Wakefield only had one bad scoreline after half a season?

| When asked on Twitter whether he would play he joked that he would because it was Cas.
Hope he only plays if he's ready.
I'm happy for Miller to captain.
Huby and Hirst are capable support with senior experience.

| Quote: Pat Bateman "Would honestly love to be proved wrong but I can see us getting a right spanking Friday, especially after watching that filth last week. I've lost alot of confidence in us after that loss, just cannot understand how you go toe to toe with st's, then dish that up the week after. What pee's me off the most is because we were losing by such small margins that I generally thought this is a team that doesn't give up a W easily and that we generally have a pretty strong team. All the Salford defeat has done is drag up all the old inconsistent Wakefield feelings from years gone by.'"
I know exactly what you mean. After hoping/expecting a win at Salford (always a bad thing as a Trinity fan) and getting beaten all over the park, it really is difficult to see how we can beat Cas, a side that has beaten us on so many occasions ove recent years.
Realistically, they (Cas) will need to have an off day and we will need our best performance of the season to get a result over there.
A partisan crowd and their toy pitch will mean that we have it all to do but, just in case all of the stars align in Trinity's favour, we need to be there and to give the boys some support.
Come on Trin !

True, but Leeds are always there at the business end of the year, year after year they have proved that, we have yet to. Over the 20 years I've not seen a potentially more talented and cohesive squad then the one we have now. I'm probably just guilty of expecting too much, though it's difficult not to when you run top 4 teams close, beat the top side them lose to Salford (no disrespect to Salford but they lost their main play maker early on too!)

Hopefully we will put in a decent consistent performance. In all honesty I'm not overly fussed if we lose, given that it's an extremely hard place to win, it's the consistency of the performances that builds confidence and then results. I'm just hoping the Salford game hasn't deflated us as if this was the same trinity playing cas as it was saints then it would be a cracking contest.

To be honest mate I've mellowed as I've got older. Sure I'll be smiling if we win (and thats not certain) but if its been a good game played in the right spirit and not decided by Hicks I won't be too downbeat if we lose.
We were spoilt last year and every one thought we would kick on even further but love or hate him it was never going to happen without Hardaker. Hearing there may be some shock news breaking regarding him this weekend.

Wow haven't heard that one for some time. Most fans only moan about it when they've lost but hey, get your excuses in early if it helps.

| Reckon this is a great chance for us to bounce straight back from yhe disappointment at Salford..
Key for us is containing their pack...if the forwards can stand up and match cas i think weve enough in the backs to get the better of them!

| Our bench looks the weakest for a long time. Jesse's first game back after knee ligament injury and Gadwin has had little game time. Plus Moors seems to have lost some form. You're correct about the backs though we haven't a recognised winger in the 19. We sent 2 out on loan for a month and then lose Eden, Lo, and Clare for various reasons.

| I'm pleased CC has the bottle to shuffle the side, which will bear little resemblance to the Salford game.
It's now up to the players coming in to get stuck in and stake their claim for their place in the team.
As long as they go out and TRY I don't mind the result - as long as we win!
