People in the public gallery making notes, couldn't see anyone on the council floor taking any.

What the hell are the Crazies on the nutjob going to cream themselves over if we start getting movement on the quest for a Community Stadium ?

I've heard BigAl is staying up all night trawling the internet and sifting through his collection news clippings in a desperate attempt to find some dirt that can bring the whole project to a standstill. I've heard he won't stop until he gets information to relay to his minions to assure them that Wakefield will never get Community Stadium.

At the meeting today. There are positive moves it seems towards the 'community stadium' with the indication that there may even soon be a timescale of developments.
I no longer trust anyone in life anymore, for anything but I say lets bide our time and give the council, the trust and the developer just a little longer to deliver.
The leader of the council, slated on here by more than one, said things in public today he cannot shy away from.Let's see what the reaction of the trust is and give a little m ore time to see what happens now......

Just for clarification, when it comes to the funding of the stadium, is that down to Yorkcourt or is that not what the Community Trust was set up for?

Yorkcourt (developer) fund the majority of the stadium as part of the S106 agreement, with a £2million investment formed from the Community Trust, Club, and Council. The council had promised to fund the £2m themselves in 2009 and it seems that offer is still available

It's a very positive start shame this wasn't done 5 years ago but today's meeting could be the new start of the Wakefield Community Stadium becoming a reality. We've knocked the council for very good reason but now hopefully they are finally getting behind the development. New cold now counting towards the trigger hopefully a decent unit for Clarks brewery and with Newmarket been prime M62 M1 location it should be very attractive and easy to sell for other Units. Destination Newmarket back on.

I think their interest starts and ends with Belle Vue

Yes, I would think that too Egg Banjo.

The news he re tweeted though was regarding Newmarket.

Sure I heard or read a piece saying that MC was looking for other investors coming into the club to assist.

Just trying to think outside the box here.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but if Bigalf had been on The Trust the stadium would probably have been built by now.
The guy came on here with advice (always polite and invariably correct) but got the dogs abuse for his trouble.
I think some of the genuine fans on here will admit this and respond positively. Others won't.

Give over, the guy used to spend more time obsessing about Trinity's money problems and scouring the internet finding any muck he could to sling in our direction, it was frankly weird and unhealthy especially for a supposed RL fan. He'd always be the first to inform the RL world of any CCJ's he'd found & then he'd run over to the Cas forum and have a big circle jerk with the rest of them, while slating us to death. If there was any decent advice it got lost on me because of the antics he was up to at that time. You obviously must have missed those times.
