Agree that Finn is a great option and does well covering 9 and 6 too, think all our pivots give us a nice blend of different options in terms of kicking, running, passing etc.'"
Just about sums it up for me, after the missed kicks I said I hope it doesn't come down to a 2 point game, I didn't and the rest of his game was good for me. I see where Snowie's topic comes from now

Its difficult to complain about anything really when the wins keep rolling in..
Goal kicking is a problem if we aren't going to play Finn for the full 80, whether that's because Finn ain't no spring chicken or for tactical reasons, injury or whatever.
I suppose we need to get at least somebody up to kicking speed for the times Finn isn't available, but that's gonna need them to get used to kicking when the heat is on in game time, its not as easy to get your eye in when you're filling in one week and not the next.

| Anyone else just think it's great we have competition for places especially in the halves, each player offers something and they are all chomping at the bit to play. I would have Liam kicking every goal if he is on the pitch though!

The competition thing is great.
Nobody can be complacent about their spot in the team, which keeps them "honest".
If you look how MCB and the Arundell have dropped straight in (and both performed really well), it give's Chester some real headaches for selection.
I still feel a bit sorry for Max Jowitt, who was superb last season but, Grix is playing out of his skin.
He is unbelievable, compared to how I remember him from his previous stint here.
Defensively excellent (the trysaver on the line in the first half was quality), looks solid under the high ball and his work coming into the line has been superbb.
Add to that his organisation of the defence and he is our best and most consistent player of the season so far.

| Jowitt will get a game soon I reckon as we've got a busy few weeks coming a up, and then it's his job to try and keep Grix out of the starting 17

Indeed, pressure on all positions and Chester to make the right team selections.
As a Trinity fan, its always dangerous when you start looking up the league table and I'm having to try and stop myself.

| Well I'm still thinking were half way or just under to achieving a likely top 8 points total and ultimately missing out of the bottom four. Anything after that is a bonus.

Agree it is harsh. Like you say his game isn't really about taking on the line and making breaks, like Miller does for example, who surprisingly has made 22 tackle Busts this season so far, which is 2nd only to Fifita. It's more about doing the basics well, with his accurate passing/kicking and generally guiding the team around the pitch well. Saying that I still think there's a bit more to come from him and he hasn't hit his absolute best form for us yet.

| I have no issue with Williams. It's purely my opinion that Finn can run a game better than either Miller or Williams or at least that's the case at present. That said I think Finn runs a game better than most in SL.
Williams only problem is that when he tries stuff he's just not getting the bounce and I think that's knocked his confidence a bit. Also he was perhaps like Miller a little over hyped by us all to start with. However I do see Williams as a good long term prospect if he stays another season.

Williams is the opposite and could easily cost us close games with his poor kicking. I actually think it's a confidence thing, not a lack of ability. I'd certainly have Finn kicking against Cas because we'll need every point we can muster against them'"
I think you're being a bit harsh on Williams, did he not win us the games against Saints and Salford with touchline conversions?! I'm sure we either scored the same amount of tries or less against those two. Yes he's dipped with the boot, but I doubt Finn will be on the field for 80 minutes in every game from now on in, so if Williams doesn't kick you are only really left with Arundel who's guaranteed to play the full 80.

| I have been a critic of Bil tupou's performances in the past, but i thought he had probably his best game yesterday. Took his try well ran hard and put Johnstone away nicely a few times too. Also thought Arundel in the other centre went well.

The way you have been playing ,that figure is shamefull.
Your playing well and deserve better than that.
The ground excuse cannot be an argument when your putting the performance in.
So what is it?
