| I have been supporting us too long not to be looking over our shoulders. Until we are mathematically guaranteed a top 8 spot then I will not be confident.

| Hull looked decidedly not-d about that game from minute 1; they were either knackered or complacent and their discipline was awful - Manu was in a particularly objectionable frame of mind - looked like he wanted to get sent off.

| I would be more concerned if we were 8th. Tonight is the trickiest one to call. Salford losing gets rid of another chaser, but puts us nearer the rest. I think on balance I'm rooting for Salford, as if one does break away and puts some wins together, it keeps Cas closer. Similarly, with Leeds and Widnes. It's about us staying above Cas and Widnes, not about the pack that's chasing.

Aren't you forgetting salford points appeal and the impact of them winning it?

mmmm, Koukash claiming on BBC RL website he has hard evidence in black and white that Salford did not breach salary cap, he states "We have not gone over the salary cap by a single pound or for a single day" this could be getting interesting given the current Super League table.

If Warrington beat Hull KR tonight Hull KR can't finish above us.
Same goes if Widnes beat Leeds on Sunday, Leeds won't be able to finish above us.
That would just leave Hudds who have a (very) slim chance and Salford dependant on points being re-instated.

Forgotten it? I'll be spending Monday glued to the internet!
Maybe I do want Cas to win. Oh, who knows! My head hurts.

| If we win against Saints, does that pretty much confirm our place in the eight?

Any sceptic might be forgiven for thinking, if that's the case why wasn't this hard evidence in black and white made available at the earlier hearing.

Yes, it would, other than the possibility of Salford winning their points back.
His comments on the BBC website this morning are interesting, and he is very confident that they haven't breached the cap.

If they do get all or some of their points back, I think us, Cas and our dear friends in WIdnes will be looking over their shoulder a bit now

Leeds (3 games left) and Hudds (2 games left) can only reach a maximum of 16 points, Hull kr (3 games left) can only reach 17 points. Unless I'm missing something?

Maybe the evidence hadn't been written at that stage, if you know what I mean!

Isn't it something to do with the fact that he emailed the RFL to tell them a certain player had been released but he didn't go onto complete the removal thing. Technically, he was still on their roster. I know this is a technical breach, but the rules are there to stop abuse, as what would have happened if another had retired or been released from their contract. The other player was there for immediate recall.
So he might have proof that he emailed the RFL on the right day, but he didn't complete the process.
What might sway it his way if the player received no money during the period in which the process was left incomplete.
