Surely the super bowl site would be needed for any ground development, both in terms of increased parking and giving some space for ground re development.

If ANY other party acquires part of the site either for a mosque anything else, we are largely back to square one.

I have spoken to the architect who was commissioned to draw up the plans for the Mosque and associated development, the plans are for the complete site ie Super Bowl and BV, the finance for the development comes from the interest free Muslim Sharia Bank / Finance system, which is a fantastic ` lender ` as it is against their faith to charge interest. So if you are able to tap into this funding you have a fantastic head start on the competition. Apparently Ccl Rowley and the local community leaders have facilitated all the necessary introductions. Don`t` you just wish we had people on the council Cabinet or Councillors or council officers who would fight our corner as well as Rowley fights for the Community of Agbrigg and BV.

As someone who used to work and live in Middle East, correct it is against Islam to charge interest but this is more than compensated with bank "charges". That is how Islamic banks make money. It may be an "interest" free loan but the total cost of the loan is more than that borrowed, if you get my gist.

Apparently If the Mosque developers and Rowley are successful with the bid and agree the purchase of BV then the council are confident that the new community facilities that will be built alongside the Mosque will comply with the need for ` leisure ` facilities and circumvent any existing covenants on BV.
Add to that I cannot for the life of me see our directors keeping the club in Wakefield if Rowley gets her wish.

The ultimate insult in my opinion if that comes off and yet more proof, if we need it, that we will stand for anything in this country.

I would guess they rent would rise again sharply at the next annual review and make it in MC's eyes untenable. Once we move out of the area voluntarily though then it weakens our case regarding the planning restrictions.

The biggest word there is IF. Surely even our council after messing the section 106 up wouldn't back at mosque been built and bypass the existing covenants on Belle Vue unless it's part of a bigger picture ie releasing funds for Newmarket or community stadium elsewhere in the City. All ifs and buts until we see something official

It's the bowling alley that is the proposed new Mosque. The two bits of land are totally separate. Nobody else is interested in the Rugby Ground bit.
