Point proven though, people are too easily offended, I will be totally honest in the fact that I have been to hundreds of football and rugby matches and at no point have I ever been offended by what opposition or my own fans have been singing.

| I have never been offended but when young children are around its a different thing altogether. But then again if you don't want the children to hear it don't bring them "well that's 4 season ticket holders Less and 1 who some times comes as a walk in plus what they spend in the club shop".

| Any club or set of fans who are happy to make the atmosphere family unfriendly will soon be supporting a club with no future.

Just do what My dad did with me and what I will do with my kids when going to football/rugby matches and say something along the lines of " you will hear words and phrases that are naughty but can be said in the heat of the moment, do not repoeat them"

| I have no issues with swearing within reason, but I found the goading/insults thrown to the Leeds fans cringe worthy and very small time. When the balance of chants are aimed more at the opposition than backing the home side there is something askew.

Usually it is, but it's the same in every sport when it's a derby game - Particularly when it's the big city slickers swaggering into town.
You want to hear the Hudds Town fans when LUFC visit, makes the Northstanders seem angelic!

| I must admit i did cringe when i heard it, i'm no prude but i just dont understand why people have to swear like this it seems to be the norm nowadays, its the same in the pubs, at this time of year its nice to sit in a beer garden and have a pint but i wont take my grand children because all you hear is f---- this and f--- that so i stay away and so it will be with many fans so be it.

| Have to agree with the many on here, I go to the game to support Wakey not to goad away fans or hurl abuse at fans/players.
It quite clear that when chants supporting the team go out, most of the north stand join in which much give the lads a boost as soon as the goading starts it only the minority which just stops the support dead.
The more supportive chants and songs the better the atmosphere which hopefully gives the tam a boost, isn't that one of our main jobs as supporters? rather than trying to get a reaction from away fans (who arguably don't care ether way).

For balance i'd like to mention some of the abusive language and behaviour from a small section (well the ones that passed us near the big screen) of losing leeds fans on their way home.
Most of them looked like the jeremy kyle experiments i.e tracksuit bottoms and more kids than teeth, you know the sort.
Maybe it helps winning a lot, but i have rarely seen leeds fans to be anything less than gloating congratualists.

You're right there, much as Leeds fans can be a bit obnoxious, I don't think I've ever seen or heard of any trouble with their fans either BV or Headingley since I started watching the sport.
I also think the alcohol consumption on a Friday night kick off has a lot to do with it, there was a bloke near the west stand exit at the end loudly asking all the Leeds fans how they liked "them apples!"
