| A days shopping with any woman would toughen any bloke up going from shop to shop and back again you have to have the hide of an elephant to withstand that

| Lyne had a very good game imo, good defence, wrapped up the Wig centre / winger a few times. and strong in running the ball out. A good break when put away and just not sure if his pass to Riley was poor or Riley dropped a clanger.

| I have bagged Reece Lynne on a regular basis but credit where it's due I thought he had a great game on Sunday. I still don't believe he's a great centre and his pass to Riley although only slightly mis-timed was an example of how at the moment he lacks the ability to put his centre away. Having said that, not all great centres have the pass to the winger in their locker, they use either strength, guile or speed to break the line and create the offensive chances. Of those three attributes, Reece has certainly acquired strength in his upper body, but what he does have in abundance is speed. That has been a rare and precious commodity over the years at Belle Vue (David Smith anybody?), and I hope for the sake of the club that JW can find a way to use that speed for the benefit of the team (and speccies - is there a better sight than one of your players putting the afterburners on and scorching away from a defence?).
I like Matt Ryan, if I was playing pro RL - and thanks be to god that I aren't, because I'm a wet lettuce - I would want Matt alongside me. Who told him he should be a RL player? Tall, skinny, red hair. BUT what an attitude, no-one tries harder, maybe not the most skilful, but I'll support any player with a heart like that wearing the RWB.
Finally, Scott Anderson -unsung, hard as nails, does the hard yards and doesn't need to give penalties away to prove he's hard like Poorey. Fantastic to watch.
I could go through the team at the moment, and probably will at some point. God I feel good.
Credit to JW for seemingly installing a new sense of belief and pride in the badge. Seems quiet and unassuming and happy to let the team do the talking on the field. That will do for me at the moment.
Thanks to Snowie and all the other helpers for doing the hard graft when all supporters were at their lowest ebb, much respect.
Thanks to MC for having any team to cheer on at all, never mind beating the Champs on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
The crowds will return when they see the pride in the badge - to quote Kevin Costner with slight tongue in cheek "build it and they will come".
Amen.

| Whether Lyne is a centre or not, it seems that that will be his position I would think for the present, as Riley and Owen, rightly have the wing positions at the moment.
I've knocked him like others, in the past and I was disappointed for Walshaw that Lyne got the nod over him for the Wigan game but the coach got it right. Lyne was very good and I believe some of the passing skills he apparently lacks can be acquired with coaching which I'm sure he will get. As for Sammut all I can say is for a man with his skills not to be in the starting team, there must be a reason.....? coaches call and I respect it.

| Sammut was asked on twitter about going to Fev the other week and said he didn't know anything about it.
The club then released a statement saying he wasn't selected due to a calf strain.
Sammut could have tweeted the same but chose to give a different story.
Something must have happened in the last few weeks.
Sammut has been ok but stand off is his position and needs to be playing there, let's see how Siejka and Sammut go together at Fev, with no detriment to our performances.
You never know, if we can't get Smith back, these two maybe our first choice halves next year?

| I've said all along that Lynne has the one thing, natural speed, which cannot be coached into someone.
Yes I know sprinters are coached re; style; balance etc but they have to have it there to begin with.
That is why we should persist with him and gradually improve all other aspects of his game.
Berwyn Jones came to us on the 60's as an Olympic sprint medallist.
He was unbelievably quick but clueless at first.
But he gradually improved with coaching and dedication and went on to be a GB winger.
Its damned hard to get everything in one package.
Andy Fletcher was exceptionally quick, could side step 'on sixpence' off either foot and had a great body swerve.
But defensively 'Fletch' was always a worry.
I could always live with the defensive frailties because of the excitement he generated in 'full flight'
Other fans had no time for him because of those frailties.
