Let's not forget without Wakefield Smith would probably be out of work because he had run out of options with his career.

What if Gilmour replaces Washbrook in the team is that a positive or just another negative. I will leave that to the usual suspects to post their opinions in their normal eloquent manner.

I liked happy Gilmour in his younger days when he was at Saints but I have to question whether this has been a good loan signing with him coming back from a serious knee injury at his age,
he must be ready else we aren't going to risk this unless the contract only covers if he's fit to play, anything less would be stupid.
his experience will help us as did Ali's when he was on so while you all go off one like you have just give him a chance like Owen unless you want to see us in the lower league

The only way anyone from Cas will be getting their hands on the cup is if somebody from there steals it. Although there is a fair chance of that happening i suppose.

Use some of that turd polish that Powell has used during the close season. It's certainly done an effective job so far.

I want to believe it will help but stinks of despair..as I saw written, how much have we spent when we cannot afford ,it seems, to sack an obviously failing coach? Mr Carter, if you cannot see that Richard Agar is not a fit head coach then you are not a fit Chairman or whatever they call you these days. I really hope this discontent is passed on. I am not attending and wont whilst you keep Agar, sorry but thats my view. It is better to force constructive change than appease failure. Pass it on to those in charge. The majority want him out and there is no way forward for me till he is gone.

MC is a smart bloke, he is backing RA with the budget to make signings.
He is allowing RA to build a team of his own, so that if they don't perform again next season he has no excuse about geling and not knowing who his best players are in what positions.
Only trouble is, will there be any fans left to watch or care next year?

I ask again how do you know that you speak for the majority. I would conservatively put those on the forum that regularly make this point will not exceed 20. The fact that some do multiple posts under different threads does not constitute a majority.
I am amazed that you have the audacity to call the chairman because he does not do what you want. I would suggest if you and your happy band want change you get the money together to buy the current owners out. This will then enable you to appoint who you want to coach however, you will need to be thick skinned when they start criticising your choice on here.

The falling attendances and mood on the terraces suggests there are significant sections - in my mind a already a majority - who are sick of what they see.

I can't say if Smith will leave, as I've no crystal ball; for the same reason, I can't predict if Gilmour will be handy cover. But I do watch a team that seems to have limited spirit, organisation and, quite frankly, appears to be playing below what on paper the squad looks capable of, and I'm not convinced that injuries and 'gelling' aren't being used as excuses for deeper problems. I read and see Agar interviewed, and get from it no suggestion that he is capable of leading us to anything like the performances that would be necessary to take us anywhere. And I do hear rumours of player dissatisfaction, and whilst these aren't substantiated, they seem plausible, and I'd would understand if decent players wanted out at the end of the season.

Still, as we are being told off for being negative, so here's looking forward to 2024, by which time multiple Lance Todd and Man of Steel winners Richard Mathers, Harry Siejka, Reece Lynn and Danny Washbrook have all celbrated 10 year testimonials.

Well for one thing he says he isn't attending any games any more.
So although you are of course allowed to be a fan without coming to games, I'm not sure you can put yourself in the majority.

What utter rubbish. People are starting to stay away because of the garbage that Agars team is producing. They are the clubs supporters whether you like it or not and have already cast their vote with their feet. They are obviously part of the majority. Now of the ones who remain most of the people around me on sunday where in favour of Agar going. So if that is a snapshot of opinion then i'd say yes there's a majority. When you're just down to the last few hundred Agar-ites in the ground will the penny drop then? You know, just before the club goes bust again?
