| So far, Godinet has played 2 games, one of which was a few days after stepping off the plane; he looked great against Salford and a bit at sea against Bradford, particularly when Sammut came on, who was even newer than him.
Given that, it's far to early to be making daft statements about him; he needs half a dozen games to get his head straight and start directing things; not ideal, but that's where we are.

| Quote: try scorer "With all due respect cocker I've seen wildie since he was a kid and he always was an half back but coaches here have never bothered to develop him or encourage him and no I'm no relation just a bloke who's had anintrest in amature and youth rugby, the kid was a star schoolboy internationals at halfback I'm sure most pro coaches would be rubbing their hands to ddevelop a kid with them credentials'"
Tell you what. Talk about Godinet being crap, what about that joke Wigan have signed to play fullback.
Looks like over the hill dross to me. You think Wildie is hard done by, what about young Hampshire at Wigan
having to make way for that has been Aussie.

TS
Sure he will, great talent would love to see him playing for us.
Bowen is a bad signing though

| I've two major gripes with Agar. The first is his use of the interchange bench. He continually picks a youngster or fringe player and has no faith in them, bringing them on for 10 minutes if they're lucky at the end. It's detrimental to the rest of the team when the player is more than capable. This has continually happened and is bemusing.
The second is sort of related to the first. He picked Ryan to play centre Thursday, sometimes he's played Mariano there. But when using interchanges, he's shifting several players around to accommodate one. This is leaving us disorganised and struggling in attack.
That said, Agar has done alright for me. I think there's a lot more potential in the team and I wonder at times about the tactics but the above points baffle me.

| Im not a fan of Agar and thought we played the wrong game on Thursday considering it threw it down a couple of times I thought with us having a bigger pack we would have played it straight down the middle in the first 50 - 60 mins then opened it up once they ran out of steam.Instead we throw the ball about in wild abandon in slippery conditions from the off and our errors cost us.To be fair to Agar he aint had it easy to start this season with whats gone on so Im willing to give him chance. He must have something about him as I cant recall any former player slating him and they all appear to like the bloke. As for who would you put in instead Morrison - still learning the ropes and might one day make a good coach.Remember JD when asked if one day he would like to coach us his answer - "Would love to one day but I need about 7 - 8 years learning the ropes before that would happen".In all honesty we all knew it would take a few games before we knew where we are at in terms of how the season will go.

Slow time? I'm not sure what you mean. What I'm trying to get at is this - have a series of coaches taken against Wildie and mismanaged him and if so, why? And if he was the next great British half-back, why hasn't he had better offers from bigger clubs and taken them? I've nothing against the lad and I think he's a decent player, but I've seen no evidence to suggest that he's anything more than that.
As for Ryan - he too was a handful at Salford but looked a bit jaded against Bradford; again, 2 games in, it's far too early to call.

| I blame Thursday on the players, not Agar.
I think he is capable of getting us into the eight with a bit of luck, as I rate him as a coach. I think he will send out players with a good game plan, and one that will be entertaining. I just think to execute it properly, the players have to be really on top of their game.
I try not to judge him on the back end of last year. I think the fight went out of the team once we were out of the play-offs. The year before, when we had a sniff of them, we saw the best out of the players. I'm hoping that would be the response if relegation looked likely.

I have around seventeen people in my tem ( at work) some are senior, world rated subject matter experts, others are grafters... And a few young developers who have real potential...
I am accountable for the performance of every one of them, I am accountable for the strategy and their values and behaviors whilst working. If any of them, or combination of them fail to produce what is expected it is my accountability... Same with Agar... Simples!
Same for Agar who is a very nice articulate and deep thinking person. He has a great knowledge of the game and is well respected by all who come in contact with him.
Does that make him a good rugby league coach...
I see and have never seen in his career, anything that enables be to answer that question positively...
I was one of those who didn't want him at first... I am not sure that opinion has ever changed.
Try scorer, you bemoan the situation that young players who show talent are dot developed into quality first grade players... I have thought the biggest failing of the British game has been the lack of ability of coaches to enable that transition . Take Wildie as an example, whenever I have seen him in the first trade he clearly has not been prepared properly to make the most of his opportunity, and IMO... Looked quite out of his depth.
As a coach yourself, how have you and the other coaching experts allowed this failing to occur, once again, the accountability for this stops with the coaching staff...
Further I look at the development of young players like the Burgess twins at South Sydney who both improved... Out if sight... And we're absolutely ready when given a first grade slot.
Please explain.

| Some remarks earlier about Hampshire at Wigan.
Shaun Wane has said that this season he will play a number of games at full back. I think they see him gaining first team experience at fb rather than stand off so he doesn't take a physical hammering every game.
McGuire did that with Sam Tomkins.
At present I think Sam Powell is ahead of Hampshire for stand off and maybe Sarginson too. As great a talent as Hampshire is the Wigan coaching staff will try their very best to protect him and bring him through at a pace he can cope with.

I wasn't dick measuring... I thing this is a massive failing in the British game, and I used Wildie a an example currently being discussed... How do we get talented young players to realise their talent in first grade...
But if you don't actually want to engage in a real discussion... Fine!

| Think what happens blighty with teams in the nrl and the top sides over here if they spot a talented youngen he's assessed by the coaches and given special one on one coaching to develop his physigue , pace or skills whatever he's thought to need you can be sure if a lads got special talent and the right attitude he'll be encouraged and given every chance to develop
