| Quote: TRB "It certainly is and I doubt there isn't one of us who haven't thought about giving it up - some will some won't.
We have to try and retain as many fans as possible and build again from there, but clearly it matters not what we do on the pitch if we get it so wrong off it.
We have made a lot of new friends along the past couple of years, for those it will be a challenge to persuade them that this is worth continuing. For those of us here before then, this is nothing new and, in comparison to some previous situations, this could be just a scratch, but that is dependant on many things from here!
In essence it is up to each of us to decide if we feel that the ride is worth it, if we do (and my seat-belt is jammed on), then we have to decide what we are prepared to part with to help things along - time / money / expertise etc - they all come into the equation.
Looking forward to Monday - to allow the club to answer some of the burning questions and to map out the route for a sustainable, fan involved, future for our great club!
I unfortunately can't be there on Monday TRB but I'm available in future if willing foot soldiers are needed!

Moving to Pugneys was actually Trevor Woodwards idea, he was roundly booooood and chased out of the City.
David Garthwaite is a great Trinity fan and has a history that stretches way back for about 50 years, he might just be too good of a businessman to get involved.

| David always said he would not be involved while Ted was around.
Thinks may be different now and he has lots of contacts.

I think it was at the time WMDC were prepared to move heaven and earth to accommodate Yorkshire CCC, on a massive site incorporating a new ground for us BUT Yorkshire CCC were held to a lease they had recently signed for Headingley. I don't know of a Trinity fan who was against it - it would have been our saviour years ago and a far better location than Newmarket!'"

As previously pointed out Pugneys and Junction 39 (cricket stadium) were 2 different issues, IIRC Asda wanted to build at BV and the stium would have been where the ASDA is now but the COUNCIL blocked it and the whole thing fell through.
The Cricket saga was basically smoke and mirrors with Yorks CCC and Leeds re Headingley it could have happened but was never likely and obviously didnt materialise as funding from Leeds City council was put into Headingley.
