(Hatfield Tiger done a nice job clarifying Under capitalisation )
Also I agree with your view on Elston.
However The shudds salutary tale will cost them round about the same amount as our undercapitalisation sum.
Ken Davy didn't even blink when he took that blow and yet a similar amount could take us under. This shows that
SL is really a financial competition thinly disguised as a sporting contest. Sadly if you don't have the assets there is
no point in taking part.

Don't know. If he had to operate a turnstile on match day I am sure a lot of folk would pay to go through it

Sadly, all pro sport is about the size of the owners wallet (slightly off-set by crowd numbers & merchandise sales etc)

People will be reluctant to just give £400, just look what happened at Bradford, but your point is valid.
Offer shares (to the value of £400) and seek 1000 new shareholders from supporters, sponsors, businesses etc. That way you get a shares in the Club for your money. Okay they will actually be worthless (unless they increase if we move to Newmarket and become profitable - unlikely I know) but at lease you will own a small part of the Club.

Exactly the same if you just donated £400. The difference being if the Club does not go into administration and continues you will own a bit of the Club.
The alternative is to do nothing and watch all the players be sold on the cheap as every other Club knows our predicament and will offer buttons, or they may wait until administration comes as it will if nothing is done and buy the players even cheaper from the administrator.

| I’m sure I’ve got a share certificate kicking about somewhere when the last lot were in power.
Whilst it may keep the wolves from the door briefly you can’t keep issuing shares every year.
The club has to find new investors & dramatically cut costs, it would be interesting to know how much some of the backroom staff are getting paid, not sure if they are on contracts like the players? If not it’s not just a case of booting them out, as they’d go running to a tribunal. I presume the only way to force them out is if the club folded with a new regime coming in, but that just opens another can of worms.
Shame Gareth Bale isn’t a Trinity fan, what with his reported £300k per week .

Don't disagree at all. But we need a short term fix, £400,000 to be precise and I cannot see an alternative unless a major investor comes in out of the blue or I win the Euromillions.

| OR 4000 season ticket holders put £100 each in with a draw every week for a free hospitality box (no sth can win twice) and when the finances get back into the black the £100 to be returned

| It's a really sad situation, but as an outsider looking in (must make a change a Cas fan who doesn't claim know the intricacies of your balance sheets coming on here ) I don't understand how in just two years, this can happen again? Were your previous debts wiped, as it seems a relatively big crisis to happen after just two years under Andrew Glover. It seems a particular suprise considering all the positive noises coming out of the club since Newmarket and the way the Court orders were played down by the board.
It is a real sorry state for the game when so many of our clubs are facing these difficult circumstances - they say money isn't everything, but the league table doesn't lie. Salford the exception, look at all the skint clubs literally separated by a couple of points. We're all so precariously balanced financially, and I'm sure it wouldn't take much if anything to push Cas into similar levels of trouble.
Fingers crossed things work out well for all you Wakey fans, and see you all on Sunday to watch one of those "match" things that seem to be such a bloody side show to everything off the pitch these days...

The club can't pay him a penny they don't have one. That also means his shares are totally worthless anyway.
Best thing he can do is write everything off and walk away I don't see what alternative he has.'"
I was responding to the post by Top Cat re.Twitter that AG would not be pulling his money out clever clogs.

In a nutshell.
The directors of this club are charged with the responsibility of 1) not getting us in this hole. 2) getting us out of this hole.
Expecting the supporters to delve deep to plug yet another hole is going to be expensive every few years and won't encourage sound management.
If this is the best we can expect the whole lot might as well jack in!!
