| Quote: Slugger McBatt "But what are they actually doing wrong?
The club is not generating enough money to cover its liabilities, that seems clear, but does that mean it is being run badly? Didn't AG say that he wanted the club run as a going concern. If someone had evidence of money being wasted or people giving large salaries to family or whatever, or mortgaging the ground hoping to cash in when the new stadium is given the green light, then fine. If it is just cashflow, what can they do apart from increase season ticket prices? Or run a lottery.
Okay, the club isn't making enough money. That doesn't mean people are doing a bad job. It just means that the club doesn't make enough money.
AG presumably is waiting for Newmarket to kickstart everything, with lower outgoings maybe and bigger crowds, but we can't blame him for that. What he isn't obliged to do is keep pumping his own money in just to keep us afloat. He wants it to be a going concern. I like to think they are trying their best to get it there.'"
Agree with all this.

I think the answer to that is no. I'm afraid it will be a case of the fiddlers playing whilst rome burns.

But he carn't keep pumping in is own money, if he is, he did say in ten years we would be on par with Wire, hope we are. All depends on NM, hope this comes off and if it does not we are screwd

The biggest thing they got wrong was thinking JE could manage the CEO role. We started with a clean slate a few years ago and now appear to be back in the brown stuff
The next thing they got wrong was leaving him in the job
What we spend is in the control of the club and that needs to be in line with our income, the fact that it isn't is down to the management

Have to wonder whether after 30+ years me and Wakefield Trinity has run its course, there's only show much shee-ite you can take year after year before you have to say enough is enough. Sat down the other week and worked out just how much our household spends on following thew club over the course of a year and its an eye watering amount. Maybe the time has come to spend that money a little differently.'"
No, keep comeing, your just like the rest of us who love our club, chin up you seem down

They are the ones who set the pricing structure, the ones who sold tickets at a £100 a go. They are the ones who invited people into the club who did a midnight flit. They are the ones have set up the deals that we haven't payed, ended up with countless CCJ's and a credit rating of zip. They are the ones who signed average players to over-inflated contracts.
So yes, despite no doubt well meaning, they have a share of the blame.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the Elston sign Mellars, Southern, etc who are thought to be on wages bigger then what they should be.
Personally I think there does need to be some background staff changes, whether that happens or not its not in our control. The club we all love so much yet can't really do anything about it. I hope AG comes to his senses. If we are not paying bills etc whats signing players such as Tautai helping the situation? Don't get me wrong he looks a very good player but was it worth it in the long run? I think our priorities need to be checked.

| Think AG thought JE knowledge of RL players was good, thats why he gave him the green light to sign them at first, lets face it, AG did not know a RL player from a golfer

| FACT: A CEO is responsible to either the chairman of a company or in this case the owner. His job is to ensure that he builds a team around himself to make the business successful and to ensure that continuity is paramount. JE is punching way above his weight in his present roll and Glover needs to grow a pair and show him the door because with his crass signings during the Kear - Agar transition and his failure to stabilise the club now it is apparent that he is not the man for that roll.
