| Now I've gone back on the thread to read it properly....
why is no one commenting that, on top of normal training, a number of players, including Annakin who some have said has not had a great attitude in the past, and Wilkes who was dropped, have chosen to try and get ahead of the game and train harder to improve themselves.
They can't train 24 hours a day, but effectively, it's like you or I doing unpaid overtime at work.
It's all a matter of perspective.

Call me old fashioned, but I rather the players took to the field to convince us how much it means to them - rather than taking to social media to get the message across.

| You can look at it two ways. Yes, players were given the option to have an additional training session and not all felt they needed it. It is telling that the ones who were there were the ones who perhaps aren't guaranteed choices. The other view is that the players have hit a pocket of poor form (started in February) and perhaps needed a break, and coming back on Tuesday feeling refreshed and with a bit more fire in their bellies might do more good than continually flogging the dead horse.

I would agree with that.
Missing one training session is not going to make them "unfit" for the Wigan game, but it might make them more tired and slow down recovery time.
I also think menatlly, when you've had such a disappointment, flogging players can have a worse effect. Doesn't always work but we'll see what happens.

| In the last 3 games we have leaked 117 points against 36 for.
An average of 39-12.
This average will increase on Sunday against Wigan and again the following weekend when Salford beat us.
I hope I am wrong. We had a team looking like a bunch of demented traffic police waving their arms around and making plastic dives to players who have passed the effortlessly.
I cannot accept what looks like a lack of spine or interest. I am no different to the rest of us armchair posting coaches but some of us must be reading the signs correctly.
I have to work my nuts off to earn my corn and I expect Trinity's players to do the same.
Only TT showed signs for the future.
I will not leave the ground before 80 minutes are up and if it's 50- nil and we have tried, they will get my applause.
Up the Trin.

| No issues with players having optional training session for what is effectively a bank holiday, however, I think the time would’ve been better served getting them all in to review the performance on Saturday. They could then use the available time in the week to work on things that were done badly/well. It’s a bit of a free pass as the team are extremely unlikely to get anything from the Wigan game so pride is all there is to play for. I agree with putting the players who played last weekend in the firing line, putting young players out of SL match fitness against the best team in the competition would be a counterproductive measure.

| How much and the type of training the players do, should be mapped out by the conditioning and coaching staff at the club, to ensure that players are "peaking" at the right time(s).
Too much physical training can be worse than too little.
Having said that, Mr Agar should know exactly who is and isn't putting in enough of a shift and then deal with it in the manner he deems best.
We look to be thin on numbers at the moment and we certainly haven't sorted out defence amongst our three quarters (plus some other areas), so Agar's options are limited.
